    It'll be interesting to see what Mike Carey & Jock do in this Graphic Novel. Hopefully it'll sell - the serial's numbers were remarkably dismal, even for Veritgo. Glad to see Vertigo isn't always using serial sales as a basis for determining what to publish in paperback.

    Hmm, a rather light week for me:

    STRANGE GIRL TP VOL 04 GOLDEN LIGHTS (d'oh, looks like I need 2-3 while I'm at it, well worth the double dipping after picking up the individual issues)

    Looks like it'll probably be 2 additional trades this week from my monster backlog, maybe more Exiles and starting Seven Soldiers? Still trying to track down Detective #642 as well, seems to be sold out at my usual haunts :|

    yes! i get to read this for free every wednesday in my alternative newspaper, for once phoenix got something cool that others didnt! sorry, im kinda excited.
    also, with faker i know im not the only one that was trade waiting, so i can only assume the numbers will be up drastically- cant wait to read that tonight

    Thanks for pointing out Lone Ranger #11 for the Paul Pope art! I wouldn't have noticed/known otherwise. Do you know if it's only a couple pages, or a good amount of the book? I'll definitely flip through it at the LCS tonight, and maybe purchase.

    Anyone reading this thread purchase FAKER as monthlies? If so, did it end well and worth a purchase?

    I'm on the fence with X-MEN DIVIDED WE STAND #1. I'd only be buying it for Fraction & McKelvie's story. Hmmm, we'll see.

    @madmatt213 - yeah, it was nicely solid, as far as I was concerned. Though, in fairness, I was always buying it much more for Jock's art, which was bloody brilliant, as usual.

    i think it's an eleven page sequence. tonto is telling some kind of story about a wolf. and paul pope does that bit.
    from his blog a while back. i don't normally read lone ranger, but i'm a big paul pope fan.

    ok, picked up secret invasion #1 and got back into super hero's. it was about what i expected.
    picked up dead space #2. am very happy with this outing. johnson/templesmith do a good job with this.
    picked up willow creek #1 from zenescope. very well done. i really liked the pacing in this and the whole creepy, edgy feeling think going on in this small town.
    also, as a result of a recommendation in the forum, i purchased aqua leung (smith/maybury) have not read it yet but looks entertaining.

    That's a coincidence. Today I was going through Pope's Flickr and found the Wolf drawing, which I then saved as my wallpaper. I then went to the comic store, flipped through Lone Ranger, and sure enough recognized a color splash page of that very drawing. I may go back later in the week and buy it (if reviews say the script is good), since I didn't realize half the book was Pope.
