Other than tape 4 everything is still up. Would have been mildly ironic if it didn't survive the crash.

Have put up Jesper Kyd's "Apocalypse" from the Hitman: Blood Money soundtrack. Beautiful track.

You know, I find it really really awesome that I can go back to these muxtapes anytime I'm feeling in a certain mood and just play them. Tape 1 and 2 in particular are awesome tapes to play while working.

So once again, wonderful job folks!

Oooo... I'm gonna bump this. I love this thread! Tape 4 still has a couple songs to go, and I just added Nick Cave & TBS - Into My Arms.

I just added a track to tape 5 by my band, Double Helix. I think you'll find it appropriately post-apocalyptic! Whole album of dubstep / rap / punk bizness will be free to download from Aug 16th, if you like it, from Audiodacity.

(By the way I contro'd this song because I thought it suited, not because Im a self-promoting git... but I AM a self-promoting git, anyway.)

I have to say that this is all turning out to be some fucking great selections of music.

Tape 4 is completed! Well..kinda. There's one song left to go on that, but people have already started on Tape 5, so whatever. Just for a recap, here's what we've got.

    TAPE 1: "Just Walk Away"

TAPE 2: "I Fucking Hate This Deserted Wasteland"

TAPE 3: "My God, The Mutants Are Having An Orgy."

TAPE 4: "Don't kill him! That cannibal mutant is my son!"

And here is what is currently awaiting more submissions:
    name: postapocalyptic5
    password: whitechapel

We'll see how long this thing goes for. Five tapes might be a good number, but who knows? It might keep going. one of the things I'm liking about this project is it gets added to just a little over time. Enough time for people to discover some new music and perhaps add to it. And little by little some new people are discovering it and loving it (had quite a few comments about it on my twitter recently).

Thanks, folks. Keep 'em coming. We have some amazing stuff already.

I've been enjoying listening to these muxtapes immensely.

Like most of the people on this board, I think that the genre of post-apocalyptic art still has plenty of ideas left to explore.

Escaping slightly from the open format, I'd like to contribute a muxtape with the goal of inspiring a little post-apocalyptic romance.

Settle back with your loved one and enjoy the horizon's misty green glow.
