Booze and art. With the depth of concentration it takes to come up with the wonderful pieces that we do, is it odd that those two items are portrayed as regular bedfellows? Do you really drink as much as we all think you do? If not can I call you a liar in public?

I was writing a scene last week, and while it was the most prolific I'd been in ages, I drunk a quarter of a bottle of whiskey in under two hours just to get past the uneasiness of what I was writing. I'm not sure I like the implications of that.
