Just a general ass-kiss (with love and sincerity). Lovin' the Freakangels. I saw in the FAQ where warren said it was gonna go looong... (did he say HUNDREDS of pages?) nothing could make me happier. Senor Duffield, your art continues to make me happy I have eyeballs. It's so damn sleek and simple-seeming while conveying a depth of detail that puts a LOT of other comics art to weeping shame.

I DID say I was gonna be ass-kissing, yes?

Great work, fellows - lovely stuff. It really rather makes me think that THAT'S what the internet's for. Regular, available content by creators of skill.

Thanks, guys! You've inspired me and an artist friend of mine to enter into a similar venture.

Cool, thank you for the prompt reply Warren, and for that cryptic nugget of information.

I'm with Fauxhammer and Douglas - I think people have to come Sirkka because she offers certain pleasures unavailable anywhere else. She's the leader of a commune, more or less, and her "children" are there by their own volition.

This is excellent. Right up there with Fell. I like the Midwich Cuckoos all grown up idea.

Probably a question for the Avatarites here, moreso than Master Ellis, but if Freak Angels is successful (and how does one measure that anyway? Site traffic? Eventual sales?) will we be seeing more online comics from Avatar talent?

'Cause I'm really enjoying Freakangels, and unless you're dirt broke, a pragmatist, or both, there's no way you wouldn't want a nice, fancy looking book when the whole series is done, so I imagine that at the end of the day it'll end up being a nice little money spinner.

    great episode!

these last two issues have had me waiting on the edge of my chair for Friday.

I have been waiting to absord a decent chunk of the story in one go. Impressed. Hooked in fact.

I haven't read all the previous discussions so this may be a re-hash, but am I right in my perception that the 'event' occured when the Angels reached a certain age (puberty maybe) and involved the removal of adults from the scene. References to family have been limited to siblings so far and I get the impression that the residents of Whitechapel are all of an age.

    Huh....

It hadn't even occurred to me that EVERYONE, not just the Freakangels are around the same age...or more specifically, people of a certain age whenever the "event" occurred. Now, I have to go back and read all the episodes all over again.

    Pity me. :)

Been thinking about this story and read in a thread somewhere in these corridors that it's potentially a long one? Well, if that is so, I am more fortunate than I thought. I enjoy the pace very much.

Keep getting this Dickens feel about it. It seems like there are pairs like in Tale and other stuff too. Can't lay my finger on it though. Eh, it is a pure pleasure. I'll just be grateful and not over analyze. :-)

Thanks for the free comic. It's been too long since I have been able to get to a shop. But reading these had me slowing down at an "open" sign and thinking "soon."
