    A nifty article over at space.com.

    Nothing new on the science end of it, but a well written perspective on the irony of how the universe seems so well-tuned for life, yet also seemingly set up to make contact/interaction nearly impossible.

    As you say, nothing new here, but a well written article getting all the main points of the issue. When I start thinking about this, I get kinda pissed at the universe for doing this to us. I want to be around when contact is made, but I'm guessing I won't be. Probably won't even see humans get very far into our own solar system.

    Damn.

    Maybe I'm wrong. I, for one, welcome our alien overlords!
