what's the opposite of "jump the shark"?

How about "bury a budgie"? As in "Ellis and Duffield really buried a budgie this week..."

So Sirkka picks up on that Luke's up to something, but not the others? I wonder if that's just from proximity or if she has a specialization. Arkady has some seemingly unique powers, so perhaps the latter. ("Overdose" is an interesting term, isn't it?).

And wassup with the machine logo? I'm really wondering about the things people build in the new world.

Really loving the way this is all unfolding. Each week at the end of page 6 all I can think is, "I can't wait a whole week to find out what's next!" Of course, I can and do, and haven't felt let down once. Beautifully paced.
    Thanks

I liked Arkady the first time she was introduced (I'm sorry for not commenting on that one; life's been a bit more the extremes of heaven and hell than usual lately), sort of came across as being one of the more looney, fragile ones of the bunch. But she has balls when she wants to use them! (edited to add - I went back and looked through the episode again and I have to say, I really like Arkady's sense of fashion; very suitable and suitably bizarre!)

Being in her predicament of having the ability to know how and when someone is going to die, it certainly changes ones options of the services and diservices one can offer humanity. How does she generally use her ability? Luke is a rather shady character. Does she save him just because he is a FreakAngel?

I think she saves (if you can really call it that anyway) is because he was on a self-destructive path already... keeping him alive only makes it worse for him. That's how I read it, anyway. It's like the suicidal murderers and shit that just provoke cops into shooting them.

Ooo... I should write that down. *notes in notebook for future use*

"Hmm. Not too convinced about that", he says, gasping for air...
