This is going to look like some strange linkfest at first but just to keep the moderators happy this is a spinoff from the conversation about SF Magazines in the Fantastika! catagory.

    'Replacements' by Stephen Uitti

'Fight From Afar' by Alex Labbett

'There Is Always One That Wants To Be Just One' by tekisui

    'You'll See' by Justin Dack

If anyone wants to get their story in for tomorrow's site update email it to me today or before noon, Pacific time, Sunday. One shot short stories, around 1000 characters in length, set in near contemporary times (loose guideline, not definite rule) with scifi tendencies.

Will be posted to the site under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license.

Just need the title, text, author and a personal site link. Must be your own work.
  2.  (1999.4)

Try, which Erik reports is unfinished, but soon to be the new home of Burst Fiction. (Check out "#220 & #221," which is one of mine, and then mock me to my face if you like.)

Yeah, my Media Temple DNS started acting up with the old URL and I had this one waiting around for me so I finally set it up and transferred the whole archive to a WordPress base. Tumblr is great but just wasn't doing it for me anymore. Now the site has better RSS and sharing features, OpenID comment login, and a new editor, Jenna Leng, hunting down progressive fantasy burst as well as more erotic fare.

As Will said, its all up now at

PS, the old URL will still work and even be updated when new stories are posted but all the real action is at the new site.

@ETChevalier: Awesome site. Will submit something very soon. Really like the shortened forms - works very well with the high-concept stuff your writers are doing. I'll put a link up on my site to you.

Right when I'm going to pester Warren about not having blogged yet he goes and posts a mention!

Swear his psychic powers are growing. Wonder what he's been eating to promote that mutation...
