A 36-year-old Swiss amateur parachutist has made a successful 650-metre drop using a replica of a parachute designed more than 500 years ago by Leonardo da Vinci.
"But Mr Vietti-Teppa said it is impossible to manoeuvre or steer the Leonardo parachute."
Maybe because it was designed 600 years ago? Jeez. I applaud the guy for trying it, but really, it doesn't look too far off from what we currently have. Just a different shape. Now, if da Vinci designed a parachute made of bowling balls and it still worked, I'd be might impressed.
