    I wish I was the first person to create Spicy Chicken. Or to have written the Bible. But my version would have zombies, not so much with the floods. Instead of Jesus Christ as a savior, Ash from "the Evil Dead" trilogy would be rock'n the chainsaw -- cuttin' up Jews and Romans.

    So... what about you, guys?

    I did create it, or something similar, in my head, after seeing a science experiment film about rats crossing a platform that delivered electric shocks to get to a switch that would stimulate their pleasure centers, that same platform remained uncrossed for a lesser luxury like food. Some years later I discovered that Larry Niven already blazed that trail while I was still in diapers. Of course, so did Woody Allen in Sleeper, and Dan Simmons in Carrion Comfort. And I'm sure about a billion others. But I didn't know that when I thought of it. :(

    I invented spinners (in my mind) at least 6 months before I saw them on the street.
    Though my idea was a bit different and a lot more discreet; instead of the whole wheel spinning and looking real flashy and garish, my idea just kept the badge that at the centre of the wheel stationary, so even when you're driving the logo/name of the car/wheel maker is always upright and readable.

    When I was thirteen I was chatting on the phone with a friend. We were watching something on MTV, like an awards show or something. She said "Oh, man, ______ is fuckin' ugly." To which, I reply, "Yes. He's fugly, if you will."

    So that became our new term, a word that spread to all of our friends. We would brag about how we invented the word "fugly" for years before we found out people had been saying it for years.

    So, well, I wish I could say I invented fugly. I have low standards.

    I have no clue. But there is a small cap in the very centre of many bus wheels, about the size of my fist, that generally carries the logo of the maker on it, and, while it swings back and forth slightly, it stays generally stable while the wheel spins around it. No idea how it works, I'm no engineer, I only use science for destruction.

    I wish I invented Beer, then I could be the inspiration for many great inventions, and even more that were only thought of in an intoxicated state but were probably better off forgotten by the time the hangover set in.

    @Vespers: Ball-bearing mounted logo so it can freely swivel...but due to the logo being weighted at the bottom, gravity outweighs (haha) the effect of the rotation of the wheel. (thats why it swings a bit)
