    I'm late to the party and couldn't possibly compare to Harlotbug3's effort but here's me and conspirators, this month, shitfaced.

    Peter used to say, ‘The only thing an artist can do is describe his own face.’ You’re doomed to being you. This, he says, leaves us free to draw anything, since we’re only drawing ourselves. Your handwriting. The way you walk. Which china pattern you choose. It’s all giving you away. Everything you do shows your hand. Everything is a self-portrait.

    Creative people are not eccentric by nature; this was in my contract. William Christensen asked me to dress this way. Seriously.

    @Zoetica

    So that's what Shitfaced looks like? Maybe I should give fecalphillia another go... ;)

    ---you see I write these flattery jokes, and then feel all kinds of guilt; I'm subjecting innocent strangers to the initial cheesiness, hurting my wife’s feelings (even she should know there’s no one who could hold a candle to her), then acting the coward for putting it on a word file and chickening out before posting it.

    It’s a vicious cycle.

    But I ride it with love.

    Is there a monkey picture database that I don't know about?

    @Egon I thought this was the monkey picture database. ;)

    Lovely Sara, you are very adorable.
    (No at sign for you, but lots of less than threes.)

    And as this is the self-portrait thread:

    There are things you stand to learn.
    Taken earlier this month while still in Paris.

    (I am breaking my little rule about only using crap cameras and candid shots for the whitechapel self portrait thread because I am just returned and too jetlagged for you to be permitted to look upon me. I assure you it is your best interests that concern me.)

    Mike... it looks as if you've landed on an island and have conquered the lizard's with your awesomeness... only thing missing is a chick in a tattered bikini and a guitar around your neck.
  5.  (2052.16)
    The guitar I can do (bass), but in the last few years I've been sticking to the mic... It's much easier to act a fool under multi-colored lights in front of a room full of strangers when you're not encumbered by a 60 pound ax. (Oh- I am talking about performing in a band, in case there's any confusion.)
    As for the "chick", you'll have to ask my girl Tammy about that if you can make the Philly or Chicago Wizard shows or Comic Con in San Diego. I think she can be persuaded if she's had enough Grey Goose. Hell, I can be persuaded to do some ridiculous things if the Jagermeister is flowing. Let's hope to God there aren't any Karaoke machines near any of those cons...

    That dress is BEAUTIFUL. Almost makes me wish I were a girl so I could wear it (and make it look good.)

    @rickiep00h:

    Thanks! I actually got it many years ago at a second hand shop for about $10. I like it a lot and it works over a cotton tshirt and tights (like you see there) if I want to be a little more casual, or over a little lace top and stockings if I want to dress up, or just on its own if I want to be outright saucy.
    It makes for a great travel garment as a result of the flexibility and the fact that it can be washed out in a sink.
    I try to pack pretty light.
