    Listening to it now, so far so awesome!

    It's available as a free download of any combination of 222kbps mp3s, flac lossless, m4a lossless, and better than cd quality 24bit 96kHz wav files (coming in at a whopping 1.2 gigs to download via torrent). Multiple downloads and logins to download OK.

    Listening to the mp3s right now (small file size, direct download) and they sound damn good. The m4a's come as a torrent, so that's plugging away in the background.

    For people who want it, a CD and Vinyl release is planned for the future.

    This is quite excellent, and a damn good move for Reznor. He's always had a strong fan base, this will only make it stronger.

    Edt: fixed typos, added information

    My download is taking forever. I'll definitely get the physical copy on CD when it's out. Based on the two singles, I'm guessing this album's gonna be very pop sounding, which, in Trent's capable hands, will still kick ass, I'm sure.

    I got the download in a little under 30 seconds. Will have a listen tomorrow and report back. Now - SLEEP.

    I'm surprised at the rate at which Reznor has been producing things lately.

    Just downloaded this newest album. Can't wait to hear it!

    Halfway through the first listen this seems surprisingly different. I don't think we've heard anything this rough-around-the-edges from Trent since Broken.

    Grabbed the album :D Awesome that it's free, but I'm a bit meh about it on first listen. There's nothing here that really grabs and shakes me if you see what I mean... despite a few raw drum lines, it just kinda washed over me as an album. I do like 'the four of us are dying' a lot, but then even that's not remarkable, it just sounds like a slightly more developed version of one of the better tracks off Ghosts.
    Let's see if it grows on me like Year Zero did...

    I knew it would be a new album... Unfortunately right now I'm on a train. Yeh they have internet on trains now it seems, except that it's very slow, so I've downloaded the torrent files to use later but as for the mp3s themselves, no chance with this network, so it'll have to wait until this evening... ah well, I'm not expecting a masterpiece but I hope it's at least reasonably good...

    Awesome. I can't wait to get home and add it to the music stash.

    The nin.com site has dropped out from here (like when Ghosts came out...), so I'm going to the torrents for my copy. But how prolific is this man? I just picked up the Year Zero Remixes, plus I'm still enjoying Ghosts I-IV. NIN will be at the top of my last.fm for a while yet, it seems.

    The glyph for "Letting You" is the Art Is Resistance insignia.

    Could this mean something?

    @Fauxhammer

    I've noticed a lot of other people commenting on the Art Is Resistance reference too. I think we might be reading a bit too much into it by assuming it's some kinda hint. My guess is that NIN's pretty much adopted the insignia as sorta an unofficial logo for the band, much like the ever-recognizable boxed up "NIN".

    (I've actually got the AiR symbol tattooed on the underside of my right bicep, making it pretty darn clear what MY favourite NIN album is!)

    @wayne-ree

    It's a good design for a tattoo! I like clean, blocky designs like that; I might get something similar when I go in for some grinds.

    Also: a buddy of mine found this; I'm still waiting for him to come through with a source:

    "Well, there is definitely something up with the "02-1000000.jpg" file in the 24/96 torrent. The jpeg is 4.14MB, whereas the rest are 300-700KB."

    I'll let you know where that quote's from as soon as I hear.

    EDIT:The Goons have some research going here. echoingthesound and unfiction, however, show bupkes.

    Oh, how I'd love to be proven wrong about this! Year Zero, the album and the experience, were just fantastic and if there's a return to that world, I sure as hell wouldn't mind. Hell, Year Zero Remixed was the first NIN remix album I genuinely dug.

    I saw the AIR flag in the booklet, I took it to mean that the album was part of the whole YZ theme, which I didn't think it would be, but I haven't taken a proper look at the lyrics yet (only listening to it for the first time right now).
