Please forgive me if this has been posted before (and do let me know), but this category isn't my usual haunt. Saw this though, through my friend Heather Sougwen Chung, and immediately wanted to share the love.

    Neat, isn't it? :)

I put that on grinding.be, but didn't share it here though.

Sorry I missed it! Been trying to play a bit of catch-up over there, but it's not the sort of thing I can read at work (where I have the most regular access) - more because I get too caught up and excited than due to content.

So this was a marketing video? Why would we BUY the book now? We've just SEEN the entirety of a product whose only use is in being a visual object.

The contradictions of intent make my brain hurt for so early in the morning. I'm going to go lie down again, and forget this whole exhausting ordeal.

That's one fine book. I imagine one reason people might buy it after seeing the video would be for the tactile, interactive experience of having the letters spring up in their very own hands. If I owned it, I'd be getting it out to show to every guest that came to my home for the rest of my life.

@Adam - Sure we've seen the whole of it now, but like curb said, it make for a cool coffee table book, something to occupy guests with and whatnot. And to look at/play with, just for the heck of it.

$14.00 sounds like it will be making a fine gift for many of my family members...I thank you for the tip. I loved this book and wanted a copy as soon as I saw the video.

Wow - a book with a Boswell Sisters soundtrack!

That is a very shiny book. However, I have banned myself from most book buying so I can't impulsively buy it.

Fourteen dollars? Bargain! I was expecting it to cost a lot more... now I pretty much have to buy it.

It's typography so I love it. Saw it in Creative Review a while ago but didn't realise it was available now - lovely little book.
