Since the new music threads seem to have temporarily fallen by the wayside, I thought I'd launch a new one (as I need your recommendations!).
As with Warren's posts, could I recommend y'all go over to Piccadilly Records and listen to
the magic mixes, to get an idea of what's out this week.
Personally, loving the Santogold album, which is a blend of 80's guitar-pop, rock and synths, and am rather shocked to discover I love the 8 tracks leaked from the upcoming Weezer album.
I hated the last album, and this is a real return to form.
The Pendulum album's on fairly heavy rotation, too.

This week, I'm bingeing on No Age - the new album Nouns and the, in my opinion superior, EP collection Weirdo Rippers.

Also, Paavoharju new and old, and I'm surprised to find myself enjoying NIN's new freebie.

ExitingARM by Subtle is also on heavy rotation. Bloody brilliant, as always.

T-Bone Burnett "tooth of crime" -- i know i'll buy it even though his vocals never reach the goodness of his instrumentals. kind of like less spastic tom waits. he was musical director for "o' brother, where art thou?" i think

Hud Mo "ooops!" -- glitch hop remix of "oops!" by Tweet, which is the guiltiest R&B pleasure ever.

Jesca Hoop "kismet" -- kind of kicking myself for missing her opening up for Elbow. the album sounds like Poe meets Imogen Heap

I might finally buy a Meat Beat Manifesto album now that "autoimmune" is out. one of those bands which have such a big discography that i've been too lazy to pick through it. when's the industrial meets dub sweet spot?

Filter should be old and smart enough to know that they should stop already. they should have stopped earlier.

@Midweeker - Which Pendulum? The d'n'b act? They got a new album and I missed it oh noess

Nothing particularly exciting to report this week. Still catching up on some breakbeat choonz (The Wrongstars, Baobinga & I.D, and Atomic Hooligan)

EDIT TO ADD: There is one thing I've been listening to this week, the finally-given-away-on-the-internet completed but never released Plastic Peacocks second album. Give it a shot if you like rock.
