At work, there's a bunch of paper shuffling from here to there and usually a circuit board or two...and a lot of pens and other writing implements...I'm an office-supply-oplile. I'll bet there's a real word for that out there, but I will have to look it up later. Anyone else know what it is?

At home, my desk is my lap or my knees. Have laptop computer, will travel...and usually have to in order to write in peace.

My desk is a fuckin' mess. old comic news folded up with weed crumbs inside them, a pile of books I haven't finished including Objection from Nancy Grace and god is not Great from Hitchens, 8 dirty cups, a pipe, a bottle opener, 2 ash trays, and a bunch of stupid little figurines like jesus and meatwad. And there's little piles of ash everywhere from where my ashtrays sat and I missed. I think now that I've pointed it out I will clean it.

I own a rather large L shaped desk, which when I got it though it would be a great idea. In reality it's more like a dumping ground for everything. Papers, meds, dvds, video games, printer, modem, router, plates & cups, ect. I always dread cleaning my desk off. The reminds me that I need to at some point.

My actual tabletop I'm working on has only
    my laptop
    two empty glasses
a pad of a4 drawing paper
    drafting pencil
    0.3m black pigment liner
    the cordless phone
    my cellphone
a large stack of my lil brother's MtG cards

However, as my only computer is this laptop, my workstation tends to sprawl out across the house, leaving books, cds, drawing materials, and whatever I happen to be playing with at the time in its wake. I'm a messy bugger.

... Can't remember. Sometime early this year, I think it was.

Right. They're still good, but not as crazy awesome. However, there is now such a thing as a high-end dell that's actually decent... which never happened before they got Alienware.
