    For brits, always make sure you have subtitles on for any non-english-language songs - the translations are frequently hilarious. One song a couple of years ago seemed to be entirely about the singer's love of apples!

    Lordi's incredibly entertaining! Not many bands put that much effort into showmanship and, you know, being monsters. So much fun, so much rock, so much pyrotechnics. Each of their music videos are like mini b-movie horror flicks.


    I was sad they canceled their show in Canada.

    er, he's singing a song about singing a song at Eurovision....
    The redundancy of the glasses gesture makes perfect sense in that context.
    It's a big middle finger from Belgium, basically.

    that none of their gear is plugged in is also awesome.

    Telex is epic.
    Moskow Diskow is actually better than Trans Europe Express.

    Got to agree with madbloke about the live translations on subtitles. Moments of panicked genius.

    "Let's all vote for world peace, I want I want a cucmumber" is one that sticks in the memory.

    And for British viewers of course, there's the casual racism from El Tel as he gets progressively more pissed during the commentary

    Sebastien Tellier should have won. Actually genuinely good song... There's been some fuss about the politics of it, with Wogan getting fed up with it in particular and threatening not to do it next year.

    P.S. Yes we know about GWAR, can't the two bands just co-exist without a 'we got there first' competition?
