    Apparently the people at 'Make' magazine have a convention known as Makers Faire...



    Has anyone here gone to or participated in this? It looks like fantastic fun!

    edit: There are other, perhaps better videos than this one...

    The Maker Faire is awesome, but I haven't been myself.

    I'm going to try and make the one in Austin later this year, but the dates are bad for me, so I might not.

    I went to the San Mateo Maker Faire last year and the year before that.

    It's a bit overwhelming. And humbling. So many goddamn creative people.

    But if you're around the Bay Area or Austin when the show is on, go.

    I haven't been either, but it looks like a lot of fun. For those in Southern California, there's a "Maker Night" coming up in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 10th. LA SIGGRAPH is hosting it. It looks like an intro to the whole "maker" thing.
