the exclamation point was for your attention. not that i'm excited about it.

    http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/may/28/purported-ufo-video-be-shown-friday/

Jeff Peckman, who is pushing a ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver to prepare the city for close encounters of the alien kind, said the video is authentic and convinced him that aliens exist.

"As impressive as it is, it's still one tiny portion in the context of a vast amount of peripheral evidence," he said Wednesday. "It's really the final visual confirmation of what you already know to be true having seen all the other evidence."

    [...]

Peckman said the general public will have to wait to see it because it's being included in a documentary by Stan Romanek.

"No one will be allowed to film the segment with the extraterrestrial because there is an agreement in place limiting that kind of exposure during negotiations for the documentary," he said.

    [...]

"It shows an extraterrestrial's head popping up outside of a window at night, looking in the window, that's visible through an infrared camera," he said. The alien is about 4 feet tall and can be seen blinking, Peckman said earlier this month.

so what he's saying is, i've got proof we're not alone in the verse..but you bastards can wait until the fucking documentary is done before you see it.

Sounds about right. Marketing. Building up hype.
Wonder if the image is really a pet, or a curious kid.

I've got my money on a simple puppet coated with heated (but not melting) ballistics gel... or something similar.

File under "would be interesting if true", but I'll wait until someone of repute gets to closely scrutinize the film and see if it's fake... or until one of the buggers visits me in person, I suppose. ;-)

Just fair warning. When this all goes down it's going to get very dark as all those pigs start to fucking fly.

On top of anal probing, kidnapping and cattle mutilation they are peeping in windows now? It may seem minor in comparison but it's another clear sign that aliens are perverts and they treat earth like the Patpong Road of the universe.

The only way life on other planets exists is on planets IN other galaxies, IN another dimension. And I they probably have conspiracies about us existing.

Apologies for pulling that out of my @$$

I think in america an alien is classified as anyone who doesn't belong, so immigrants count i think.

I am enthralled by the (sometimes) obessesion humanity has with aliens. I am not saying they're not cool, interesting or that I don't love reading about them. Simply that so much time is spent on them.

and I am way too sceptical to believe this right now

Maybe Freud should have analysed aliens instead of mothers?

The Colorado Film School instructor who analyzed a video that purportedly shows a space alien swears that everyone who ever made fun of film school instructors will like, totally be sorry.

If the alien did end up being real, how long before they start uploading videos of stupid alien pranks on youtube?

I can't believe I was stuck at work when I could have been at Tivoli (sure, I wouldn't have been able to get in, but c'mon... alien press conference!) which is about 15 minutes from my apartment:

Viral Marketing for new X Files or the M. Night movie, maybe? How long before a "Viral" marketer ends up getting sued for fraud? I'd love to live in a world where this Alien thing was true, though. But Greys didn't mutilate cows. That was Chupacabras.

What's really sad about the whole UFO contactee culture is its . . . nineteenfiftyishness.

Aliens with big eyes? That travel in spaceships that leave burn marks on the lawn? That peek at people in bed? With their own eyes?

Its like, ahhh, tuning in to a NBC sitcom and finding it's about a suburban family with a paternalistic dad, a housekeeping mom, and two kids named Buddy and Sis who go to sockhops and hang out at the malt shop.

Chupacabras do goats and dogs and stuff. Greys do cows.

the big eyes are absolutely necessary because they make people think of those close-ups of bee faces. it's all psychological.

    ...and here's the YouTube.

Let me say that I remain unconvinced... looks like an outtake from Signs, frankly.
