    @Child_of_Bast:
It's very sad that Bo Diddley passed away this Monday. I always appreciated and loved his music, especially The Originator album. He was truly one of the great musicians of the 20th century.

    portishead - p3
    ladytron - velicifero

Both fill what I expect from the void preceeding them. In an excellent way. Fans of either are compelled.

    @ Babymole

I just had the same experience: read Phonogram and now have several Brit Pop playlists on the ipod.

    This morning it's

Matmos - Supreme Balloon (I'm not sure what I think yet. I do like the way they keep building and destroying a groove on Mister Mouth though)

16 Horsepower - Live (The new double disc. Makes me miss them all the more.)

the boyfriend broke down and bought paper rival's dialog on itunes, so i have that now.

solid "indie" music. the song "bluebird" is the definite highlight.

@zensurfer........................... I haven't heard that song in years. I'm now torn between waking up the two year old just so i can drive over to my parents and tear aprt their loft looking for my copy, or just waiting til tomorrow night. Hard choice.

@Agitpunkt... Its going to be a mad rush to find all my old albums/cd singles and put them onto my iTunes!

@zensurfer: Yeah, followed the link as I'd never ever seen the video. It's bad. The video, that is. The song is sooooooooooooooooooooooo fricken awesome, though.

You know , I only ever bought the one single. It soundtracked many drunken nights. I'm sure the indie/rock club I pretty much lived in every friday night played it loads. I know my friend Richard played it ALL the time.

Now, FISHBONE!!!! I haven't heard them in years. I'm going to have to look for my Fishbone albums though.

(Ma and Pa, my fave track).

Thanx, zensurfer, my night has been greatly improved by listening to those tracks...

(even though I've read 'How to use whitechapel' a million times, I'm still clueless how to add stuff)

Callisto - Noir. Criminally overlooked. I wish this album would get a wider release.

Stumbled upon a great Mark N breakcore mix, with plenty of goodness from Fraughman, Doormouse and others. been quite a wihle since I've listened to this sort of stuff, so was a pleasant surprise.

Dreseden Dolls - No Virginia - Finally got around to listening to this, I really shouldn't have put it off. Loved it.

5ive - Hesperus - Possibly my favourite release of the year. Fantastic prog-sludge-post-whatever.

Miles Davis - the Complete Bitches Brew Sessions - perfect for a laid back day at work

Tackhead - Friendly as a Hand Grenade - forgot what a great album this was

Opeth - Watershed - honestly, I find myself disappointed with this album. can't put my finger on the reason why.

    best of neil young

just gettin into some early Ladytron albums for the first time, I never new they did that 'They only want you when your seventeen..'

    Lighnting Hopkins

    Kraftwerk Minimum/Maxium

I love that Slayer cover, last album I listened to was Christ Illusion on the entire plane journey back from Polish film festival. Slayer rock, after this my electro phase is through I'm gonna revert to a hard heavy metal extravagaza, Im thinking Killswitch and Rainbow and new metal stuff I havent heard yet...O that will be fun.
