    Apparently it's from a digital animation festival. I'm a little skeptical because it says 'magnetic movie' in the beginning on the wall as the camera pans down...

    As the comments point out, its most certainly fake. Big giveaways are the coloring and the conspicuous omission of piles of other magnetic fields that should be there.

    The only thing that's 'fake' here is the comment next to the video describing how it was made.
    It's a beautifully done animation though.

    Within the few seconds I thought this might be real, I wanted to know if it could be done at home, without frying every electronic device on my end of the block. Beautiful.

    Sorry guys about posting this as something other than the animation it apparently is. Whether fake or real though, it's still a blast to watch.
