    Hello hello, it's FREAKANGELS!

Happy Friday, Whitechapel. Check in, say hello.

Always good. Can't wait to hear about the cause of the flooding.

    - And so the racial orientation of Caz is explained! Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief now =P
    - I am starting to really like Jack. He seems very sincere and, well, grounded - despite his distance from moorings.
    - Liking the reveal that the Freakangels have not, in fact, thought of everything.
    - ADORED the last page. Swooney.

Have I mentioned how much I love the color palette? Slightly drowned, but still distinguishable. Adds a great deal to the piece.

Hello, Ariana. Long time no sleep?

As for Freakangels - gorgeous, simply gorgeous. Its so easy to slip into their world every week.

A watery tapestry to study every Friday morning during a particularly busy time at work. I liken it to a B12 shot while eating a mango and watching a porno that someone I know suddenly pops up in.

    This story is delicious.

I echo the delight in seeing that they didn;t think of everything.

I wish I knew London so I could appreciate the scenic nuances more, but the fact that I don't know the city doesn't dampen my love for this incredible work.

Arkaday's so cute; amazing character, Mr. Ellis. She makes me smile.

...and what a cliff you've left us hanging on in this episode! I kept looking for another page number to click on at the bottom of the screen...aahhhhh!!!! Seven more days; I can make it seven more days. Aaaahhhhh!

Nice explanation! Bet her parents were surprised...heh. Also nice to see that they don't always think of everything.

Now, I wonder who's in that new boat!

Hello, sorry it took me so long to join the group, but I have been talking up FreakAngels amongst my friends. This is actually my first Warren Ellis experience, though I have been interested in Transmetropolitan for a while. I'm loving FA and think both the writer and the artist are doing a smashing job. As soon as I discovered it (by visiting the Wikipedia page "List of webomics", under 2008), I knew it was the one I'd been looking for for a very long time.

Anyway, with this rather intimidating-looking sailboat, I'm wondering if we're finally going to see a little more action. Can't wait to see who's at the helm. Happy weekend, everyone.

Ooooooooh, Jack's packin' heat! Wery interestink indeed.

could this be a 'heart of darkness' experience for jack?

as with every friday, yet another bend in the river is passed on this journey. just keeps getting better and better.

sorry for the conrad moment! just that warren and paul invoke such wonderful possibilities.

    Good morning, everyone.

Love the last page today. I'd imagine there is some irony to seeing a boat sailing in front of Battersea? :)
  7.  (2497.15)

Battersea power station looks great in the flood... keep looking out for things and buildings I recognise, and yes, that last frame is lovely.
  8.  (2497.16)
I love how the architecture is slightly curved on the last page. Nice touch Paul!

I've been waiting to comment on the story for a few weeks now, but I don't feel like there's much to comment on even yet. That's not really a bad thing when I think about it though. 3 weeks ago is only 18 pages, y'know?
Suffice it to say that I'm enjoying it and still stopping by to watch week after week.

    Again, lovely artwork!

Bits I really liked this time:
Caz referring to telepathy in terms of more conventional communication like phones
Arkady's enthusiasm (cute, but never forget what she's capable of)
    Caz's matter-of-fact attitude & Jack's practicality
the camo-looking sailboat - beautiful and intriguing

"Bad water" and Jack making sure his gun is ready and at hand makes it look like he's expecting trouble. Which seems to suggest that the sailboat is a threat, but I know better to count on anything being what it seems.

I don't have a favorite character. It would be too hard to say which one. They're all fascinating.

    Yes!! PIrates!!
    I loves me some pirates!
(Wait, they have to be pirates, right? What else could that boat be?)
  10.  (2497.19)
Not pirates, exactly--a rival faction, though. Not Freakangels, which is all that really matters at the moment.

Amazing... never seen a little sailboat look that predatory and threatening. I feel we're about to be introduced to some major antagonists here.

pocket factions! pocket factions! with a sail, no less...

gorgeous city/water scapes, paul - truly.
and warren - way to go for the build up.
