Okay, Saturday nights on Whitechapel are about venting and screaming. Sunday nights are something else.

Make a muxtape and link it. Or if you've got the storage, use the "video/mp3" button above to link an mp3.

Show us a photo you took. Or a video -- Flickr handles short video too, now.

Show a picture you made, show us your art.

Show us something you made, or something you dressed up in.

Play us your music. Or let us listen to your voice.

Show us a comics page. The cover of a magazine you were in. The cover of a CD you made.

Link to something you wrote. An essay, fiction, a blog, whatever.

Tell us an anecdote. Tell us about an event you did, or went to. Tell us about your science. Tell us about your passion. Tell us about your madness.

The Sunday Stomp is all about showing off and telling people what you like. You're an incredibly creative and smart bunch. Show me.

    Go.

I'm learning runes, and the ritual I'm doing to learn them is that every week I write a blog about a particular rune, and then my best friend comes over and we make cookies with the rune drawn on top, and then eat them while reading the blog I wrote earlier in the day.

This is the rune for this week:
    Rune of the Week: Ansuz

I enjoy this forum. Everyone is so interesting and talented.

Muxtape for your enjoyment: Dead City Radio: Are You Really Ready For Black Power?

Also the pseudo-soundtrack I'm working on seems to be getting along nicely. Good vibes.

I'm immensely proud of how this turned out, and I'm delighted to share it with you all first.

CORDUROY ROAD #1: "To Damascus." 16 Pages. What if James Bond had John Constantine's job?

    Written by Eric Palicki.
    Illustrated by Dion Hamill.

Read the full 16-page story on my website by clicking HERE, or on Page 1, above. Or, DOWNLOAD THE PDF.

When Warren was first discussing the FELL/DOSE/Slimline format, he mentioned the significance of the dollar, when that dollar could be spent either on entertainment or foodstuffs. The price of gas is soaring, and the U.S. economy took another dump this week. Perhaps the Slimline is an idea whose time has come.

    Okay, here's an anecdote:
    Lviv, Summe 2007
I took this picture last summer in Lviv, Ukraine(1). It was on a Saturday morning. On saturday mornings young people take pictures of themselves in bride and groom outfits. Plenty of them. They use professional photographers to do that. Those so-called artists force them plus the best men into taking ludicrous poses.
And lo and behold: It so happened that a movie scene was being shot in front of the operahouse of Lviv; it was supposed to represent Rosenthaler Platz in WW2 Berlin (that's what you see in the background) It was a TV movie shooting, nothing else, nobody was enjoying themselves at all, pure work, no fucking nostalgia. But later on, I saw on the Internet some cunts were using pictures of that very event in order to pretend the Ukrainians were nostalgic of the IIIrd Reich and organised revival events or whatever. It was appalling to find that on the Internet, not only because of the cunts slagging a country off, but also because of the people litterally willing to believe them.
I used to like my picture because of the surrealistic contrast between that nuptial promenade and the horrific nazi background. Now I can't help thinking what people made of that and I just detest the pic (not, I think I took a good photo, actually but I hate to explain it)

    (1) Ukraine is the European country where Jonathan Safran Foer's excellent novel, Everything is illuminated , takes place.

I, and a lot of other people, have been doing role playing poems. A tiny fifteen-minute game with simple rules, designed to catch "that thing which poetry possesses which is not the form". A mood, an atmosphere, a particular sensibility. It's something I had never imagined role playing games could do.

Good start epalicki. It does remind me of some of the one issue Hellblazer stories, although I guess this leads to a bigger arc. I likey.

I had a go at Draganizing a photo of my dad...

I'm not fully happy with it, but quite pleased as a first go.

I recently did a take-down of the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction on Wet Asphalt:
    http://www.wetasphalt.com/?q=node/338

I also just finished making this:
    http://www.literatemachine.com

It's a site where anyone can upload digital comics, ebooks, magazines, etc and sell them, or distribute them for free, with a built-in community system.

Edit: just reformatted my links to be links.

    this is my blog
I'm working on a comic about a kitty cat who dresses like The Spirit, and he fights this vampire looking creep named Rooster.
I really wanted a sepia look, but it ain't cheap so here is a grayscale version to compare; I dig the gray tho, it is like Saturday Morning Cartoons meets fucking-depressing atmosphere, kinda like Se7en, with a kitty cat hero.

    "My City..."
    "My City..." TAKE 2

As for my madness, well my attempts at creating comics are my madness. This is how I fight back against this dull-ass world, or as Darkseid puts it; this Anti-Life. This Life Trap. I gotta draw the stories in my brain or else I would be like everyone else and just snap an kill some poor fucker.

I love reading this forum. It's awesome to see so many talented people in one place.

I am normally shy but I'm trying to get more outgoing. I'm starting with the internet. I started a blog about art and some issues that interest me and here is my favorite post so far.

    http://ladisputa.spaceislimited.org/2008/04/30/shiny-and-new/

Thanks so much for letting us do this, Warren! And for writing! Transmetropolitan is the second series I read, and after that I was hooked on comics.

I hereby present, for your contemplation and delight, firstly a photograph:

    Gormley man - 2007

This was the Anthony Gormley exhibition at the Hayward Gallery on the South Bank (eh, it's probably underwater in Freakangels, so don't bother looking for it...). As part of it, they stuck all these naked man sculptures all over the Waterloo area on the roofs of buildings which was bloody fantastic, all these lone figures silhouetted against the sky. One day, I remembered to take a camera while walking to work.

Secondly, some music... chunks of this made their way onto a Kemper Norton track, and I'm still waiting for the bloody royalties (and my copy of the cd), the bastard. So, this is my attempt to be Dido to Kemper's Eminem:

    Leaving Thin Walls

And finally, a big dumb Morricone-esque homage to the Saint of Killers:

    Not Enough Gun

I make some videos on youtube. Some of them are funny. Most of them are dumb.

Here is a sample of my daily, auto-bio comic.

    SJO 6/7/8

    www.screwjeffowens.com

I also print it every month and sell them for a dollar (read: pretty much give them all away).

Here are a couple bands I am in.

    Landmine Marathon

    Satan's Monk

That's it for now. My head is all foggy. I must go to the studio.
