During an expected heavy traffic day due to the Apple Developer's Conference. A successful day might signal the beginning of greater twitter reliability, but failure could confirm that their problems are worse than observers fear. Or is it too late already?

also - not listening to the verbal ejaculation's of a bunch of mac-fanboyz is hardly going to stop the Singularity

(sorry, the hate flows strong with me today)

((yesterday i was forced at gun-point to play with an iPod touch.. and still feel dirty.. then the person-in-question tried to squee at me re: the coming 3G iPhone.. 2mp camera? fuck off!))

Well, I wasn't exactly constantly plugged in today, but everytime I checked things seemed to be running smoothly. Steve Job's pagan mouth-frothing pantsless iKnob festival appears to have gone on without disrupting reality as we know it.

And I for one am relieved. As long as he's kept busy like this, he won't be wandering down the street howling at us and touching himself inappropriately like we all know he wants to.

No, Twitter did fall over for an hour or so.

We Made It. (But they then take two paragraphs to explain, oh yeah, they made it except for a couple downtime problems). They also seem to be messing with the number of allowable api requests recently, which screws with twhirl and others.

"We made it! Well, except for that bit of time when we didn't..." Does that actually count?

Anyway, I'm vaguely interested to hear what new tricks they learned from the experience to make things better...
