Ah, I remember, now. Aaron Shinn. Love all his mixes. Here's the one helenforsdale first introduced me to: "Pressure Check"

yeah - if you want a briliant dubstep/grind mix - definitely check out "pressure check" - aarron is the obiwan to my anakin - dude can mix me into the damn ground. he also did a seriously amazing basic channel/chain reaction mix which if there is some interest, i can upload to the roadside picnic site for people to download.

Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians
(The greatest "minimalist" piece of music ever written also happens to be a gorgeous ambient headfuck.)

Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold
(Perfectly produced hip-hop from the MI. Also very, very depressing.)

    Limbo - First Person
(Psy-dub-internet techno. Really quite fantastic. )

I've been blasting the reissue Young Team vinyl box-set (Mogwai) and it's fantastic. Mogwai Fear Satan is still one of my most favourite things ever. The unreleased tracks are pretty cool, too. I especially like I Can't Remember.

The new Paavoharju LP is still on heavy rotation. Hypnotic stuff.

I was invited by No Pain In Pop to see HEALTH and Buttonhead on Tuesday night, which was fantastic fun. Buttonhead are probably the best band in London right now. They're all mentallers.

The Npip DJs also reminded me that I really like Telepathe and want to hear more from them.

Thanks To Mr Ellis , have been exploring the delights of " Memories of the future " by Kode 9 and Spaceape. It's tremendous.

Also listening to Teenage Fanclub again , seeing as its summer.

We're listening to the new Fleet Foxes album, which my girlfriend loves, but I'm still getting used to, but other than that I've been checking out a couple of online archives.
Firstly my mate, and erstwhile DJ-ing partner Dave Remix, who has a load of mash-ups, remixes and bootlegs at:
    http://www.junkpilerecordings.com

and, while we're still waiting for a new album, the Avalanches have a load of really good mixes and early releases at:
    http://www.theavalanches.com
You have to register to download 'em, but it's well worth it.
