   I'm getting the impression that they all grew up together but to different parents.Possibly, one of those communes you read in sci fi stories. The ones with gifted couples that try to raise a better breed of children through genetic experimentation. Can't remember an example of this at the moment.

    i tend to leave reading the comic for a few weeks so i can get a whole bunch of them at once... loving it.
    
    but it annoys me slightly that i know the area, so i know a good shop that jack coulda got some rope from right near where he was going past! although he'd had to have swam for it as it's under a bridge.
    
    my theory on the freakangels is their parents were scientists of some kind, or lived near some research lab that went horribly wrong and destroyed the ice caps and also some other freak phenomenon that no doubt destroyed a whole bunch of shit... not the most worked out theory i know...
