I already attended the Sasquatch Festival, and every year I volunteer at the Calgary Folk Festival. I was hitchhiking with a guy driving from Reedsport Oregon to Nashville Tennessee for Bonnaroo. I just about stayed in the car. Widespread Panic are a fucking amazing band live. And Metallica's headlining this year, which is a little strange. I was planning to go to Coachella, but many of the bands playing there were already at Sasquatch, and I really can't afford two festivals. I'll see Radiohead in August in Vancouver anyway. And that's fucking expensive.
I just come back from Download Festival. The lineup was shit, the layout was fucking horrible and someone stole my wallet in the moshpit, but it was still fucking awesome. I made a freakangels flag, I'll put up pictures soon.
I'm rather excitied about Reading Festival. Rage against the machine, and Tenacious D
Ooh, Zombie fest sounds pretty damn fun, but LARP'ers disturb me a little, frankly. Still, if money isn't an issue at the time I might check it out..
Found out that my brother has secured some ATP tickets for December's Nightmare Before Christmas. I'd go on the strength of seeing Fantomas performing The Directors Cut in it's entirety, so the many other fine bands are going to serve as icing on what is already looking like a very tasty cake. Hoping we might see a few more Patton projects appear on the lineup, but as this is basically an Ipecac festival, I'm not expected to be anything less than entertained no matter who plays. Roll on December!
