mine came to me in a dream: Retro Idol. every season a different theme-- this year it's the Motown Sound, next year 1970's-era punk. (or maybe it'd be more fun to make the Motowner compete against the punk.) costumes would have to be reenactor-quality acccurate. of course, it's possible such a show already exists-- I've been gone from America a long time.
