    Questions about mine and Avatar's residence, scheduling and provision at the forthcoming Chicago con are now being taken.

    (This thread is not Warren's late night general Q&A; questions NOT about Warren's and Avatar's residence, scheduling and provision at the forthcoming Chicago con will be deleted. )

    A question/suggestion.

    Will your talk be video taped, broadcast or otherwise recorded for those of us unlucky enough to be in a different country to experience later?

    If it is a decent recording I'd pay good money for it.

    Is there a good central schedule or info page that I'm not seeing which'll cover the details of your schedule and Avatar's at the show? What's the best thing I can do as a visitor at the show to soak up some Ellis without getting cigarette burns?

    @warrenellis

    I have two video cameras I can bring (can't decide which one right now) - which is your best side?

    @warrenellis

    You've never fancied doing 'An Evening With Warren Ellis', then?

    Shame. I imagine your rantings would be easily as entertaining as Kevin Smith's efforts.

    I don't have one.

    @Hayama

    Oh, yes, NEVER A DULL DAY, the comprehensive GRAVEL hardcover which chronicles our favorite Combat Magician's exploits from STRANGE KISS to STRANGE KILLINGS: NECROMANCER will be available for purchase at the Avatar booth. And with both Warren and myself present at the show, you can be assured that you'll get it signed by both of us... And there may even be other possible "perks" included with your purchase. Just be sure to bring a forklift with you, as the damn thing weighs a ton!

    I don't have one.

    I'll be the judge of that. - smiles - (no, I haven't had any caffeine yet)

    I think a recording (audio or video) of Warren's Q&A would be nice for us Whitechapel folks who can't make it...
    I remember someone recorded (audio only) the talk at last years SDCC, if I'm not mistaken, and that was a hoot to listen to during work.

    My thought too. Video camera's are the husband's toys. I'll have to take a look at them tonight.

    @Spiraltwist:

    I won't be there but I could get you an HD camera. Ellis in HD.

    Are we ready?

    Warren, will a transcript of the Con be placed here at some point in the future?

    No.

    Seriously, guys -- a Q&A session, which is all this is, would make a lousy transcript. If I were doing an actual talk, I'd release a copy of the manuscript and be happy with recording. Things like Q&A, I actually like to stay in the room.

    Are you and Avatar doing anything other than the Q&A, the endless signings, and finding places to smoke? The Wizard World site doesn't tell me much and I'm trying to zero in on the day I'll visit the show.

    And how about this: What is it you want to be asked, but wouldn't expect us to ask?

    Yeah, makes perfect sense.

    ABANDON THE CAMERA IDEA!

    You know... it'd be cool to have you do a Q&A at one of Paul Gravett's Comica things – for your UK/Euro contingent of fansslaves.

    I'm pretty sure I did, a few years ago.
