    In the long standing tradition of getting drunk, er inebriated and meeting up with friends and acquaintances at cons, I'd like to announce the Whitechapel Drink-Up for Wizard World Chicago. The folks at Avatar have scored us a room at the convention center in which we can party, and you need a ticket to get in.

    How do I get a ticket? Pick up a ticket at the Avatar Booth. The party is first come, first served - the room does have a maximum capacity. I'll have a pile of tickets myself, so if you see me, ask me for one - if I recognize you, odds are I will hand you one anyway.

    And I know the question is going to come up, so let me answer it now:

    NO, WARREN WILL PROBABLY NOT BE THERE.

    William has the poor bastard on a grueling enough schedule as it is. The oldman will need his beauty sleep and probably nurses. Lots of nurses. I expect him to be in bed, whimpering into his redbull. I'm cruel, but not sadistic.

    William will be on hand to answer questions about Avatar - I'm curious to see how loose his tongue can get (I'd like to know what other things are in the works). Mike Wolfer and Jacen Burrows are confirmed to be there so far, though I've been told that William will be dragging other Avatar folks to the party.

    And what would a party be without music? Since it IS a Whitechapel get together, it only seems fitting one of our own will provide us with some tunes. DJing will be done by Tacopunch.

    Stop in, say hi to some fellow Whitechapel people. Doors will probably open around 10pmish.

    Sat night. Our room holds around 300 or so, and we want to make sure to get everyone from Whitechapel in first. If you know you are coming, make sure you check in with Spiraltwist so we can be sure to get you a ticket. There will be a bar there, I fully expect this crowd to drink it dry. But come by, do some shots with us, and introduce yourself. Fair warning - I have a photographer covering the event, so be prepared to have your drunken photo all over the net...

    I am so sorry to be missing this.

    You all will get such a kick out of Tacopunch though, both musically and personally. I've had a blast hanging with him in Seattle.
