Holy crap, mine eyes. That's almost fractal. You're right, Streebo. Very Geof Darrow.

if this sold out, then how on earth am I ever going to get my hands on issue 0?

46&2 - Black Summer Alpha, which reprints #0 and #1, should still be available from your local retailer.

Mark S. - Thanks, most of my local retailers only carry marvel/dc, but there are some remote locations I can head to today.

The reg cover order code is AUG078104, in case anyone needs to have it reordered. Diamond should have copies of these ready to go for retailers right now.

The wrap cover was listed in Previews as a Jan release and should be in stores soon.

Ye gods, there's so much detail I can barely make out what's going on! Phenomenal posing and image despite that though. I might have to check this out.

The art on these cover and interiors is blowing my mind, comparable to Geoff Darrow and early Frank MIller...

    Ryp's art is explosive!

Ryp blows everyone else's hyper-reality clean out of the water. I don't think I have ever felt sorry for a colorist or inker before...

Heh. Juanjo inks his own stuff. Seeing pages come in from him never fails to astound me.

Mark Sweeney is doing an absolutely amazing job on color, also. Mark had some interesting thoughts on his approach to the series on our blog when the project was getting underway.

This is the best series going in comics right now. Followed closely by Docktor Sleepless. Too bad I have to beg my lame ass comic shop just to special order me the fuckin' things.

Huh. I hadn't read that Sweeney interview but he sounds like a sharp guy. He's doing great work on Black Summer, even though Juan Jose can't be good for the eyes in the long run! Heh
  7.  (27.37)
Juan Jose Ryp is amazing. I pity Mark Sweeney, who has to color all those little details.

    Wow.
    Gorgeous.

Hot damn, that's one full, epic cover. Like others said, I can't wait to see it more in-depth with the coloring.
