    I tried asking this in another thread that quickly died, but I was slightly off topic anyway, so:

    What are people's favorite netlabels?
    If I could only pick one, it would be one.

    Others I've grabbed decent stuff from include Nishi and Zeromoon.

    All of these have been a bit quiet recently, so what are your netlabels of choice?

    this may sound smarmy and/or stupid, but what exactly does a "netlabel" entail? is it like a label that only does digital music? i have been curious about this term fo r awhile, and people usually just say "uh, yeah, i THINK so" to the question.

    @joe.distort - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netlabel is actually pretty good.

    I know Warren posted something about this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it right now.

    One of the interesting ideas is that they don't have to limit themselves to music. Sure, that's easy and good for now, but we're talking about culture here. Music, games, video, comics, literature, and all kinds of art could be on a single netlabel, if so desired. It's only bits, branding, and curatorial, afterall.

    My faves:

    sutemos - Ambient/Downtempo IDM label from Lithuania. The Intelligent Toys compilations are a good intro to this label.

    jahtari - Digital Laptop Reggae out of Germany, Disrupt's stuff is good.
