In a press release they state that this vault was build ‘so that crop diversity can be conserved for the future.’ What kind of future do these people see for us? Isn't it just a people with way too much money attempting to assert monopolistic control over an aspect of the world. Not that you could ever level that claim against Gates!! Some of the largest bio-patent holders locking away seeds in remote islands, there is no theory here, they are openly advertising the fact!

It'll take quite a while before any temperature rise affects the seed bank sugnificantly. You'll have to open it up every now and again, grow the plants and stick the seeds back in again.
