Oh shit! Tharr be pirates! Also, I just noticed the FA tat for the first time, which makes me wish I were in Chicago getting one. Alas, I am not: I read from Eugene, Oregon. Moving back to Canada in a few days though, reading from Calgary AB next Friday.
Reading from Northeast of some non-fictional flooding in Indiana. Another great episode, and now we finally have a hint of what the Big Bad is. Excellent.
Reading from Chicago in a cloud of retail. I'd rather be at the con but we have a cd changer full of Einstürzende Neubauten as a declaration of protest.
re-reading from work2 after squealing in delight while reading from work1: "no, Jack, don't put down the gun! don't you know that spells trouble later?" and "oooo, pretty bike shot" and "they are the cool kids - the ones who actually pay attention when they take apart radios. le sigh."
Lincoln, NE is drying out after our daily dose of storm and schizophrenic weather. I am sending chaotic vibes to Chicago for fun and safe hands.
Ok, now this one line has interested me - there is a reason why we don't have steampowered helicopters in real life, basically it'd be too heavy to fly. I was just going on the vibe for the episodes so far, that whole 'comic book logic' thing - now I'm not so sure. I'm beginning to think that the helicopter only exists and works because of the presence of the Freakangels.
Either that or at some point we invented a super small power plant for heating water, but I think the Freakangels 'power' is Occam's razor in this case.
@Reynolds--You saw this, right? There's some debate over whether or not it's a fake, but it seems at least possible in our current technological world, so it's entirely possible that it has nothing to do with KK's powers. I think we'll need to see more of the technology at work to really know for sure.
I'm back in CA - which means I'm no longer in Italy. And my brain is complete mush right now due to the fact that it's after 3:00 pm and I haven't taken a 5 or so hour nap.
