    So far, it's a pretty fun dark supernatural comedy and it can be found read here online for free though I plan to buy a copy as soon as possible.

    From the intro:
    He had been a big, twitchy guy with veiny skin stretched over swollen biceps, a tattoo of a swastika on his tongue. Teeth filed into razor-sharp fangs, you know the type.

    So yeah, the beginnings got me hooked.

    I read the first few pages and thought it was fun, entertaining, etc. What the Hell? I'll buy it. But the home page routes me to Amazon where they want to charge $126 for it. Sorry, but I couldn't swing that for a Gutenberg Bible.

    @McLean:
    Amazon UK has it for about ten pounds - reduced from 200. At that price I'm willing to give it a try! And I am curious to find out what gives with the enormous price for a paperback.

    It's worth reading as a great book, never mind as another success of "leaping from the internet to the profitable printed page". Even better, he's writing the sequel online.

    I like supporting the guy - a genuinely funny and smart writer who kept slogging away and is finally making a living at it (he's working for Cracked.com now as well).

    I was reading this a few years ago, kinda dropped out after a while, but remember it being super fun.

    Am I wrong, or has it been optioned as a movie?

    @Brad;
    Yes by Don Coscarelli, director of Bubba Ho-Tep.

    @Cat

    Now that would be a sight to see.

    the whole first section reminds me of the only fools and horses gag where trigger wins a medal from the mayor for using the same brush for so many years, only the handle had been replaced 6 times and the brush 7 times...
