    It's Friday, it's FREAKANGELS.

How're we all doing? It's a holiday over here, which means nothing's going to be open that would sell me any allergy medication, but I'd probably be able to buy linens or a grill at half off. Which might matter more if I could stop sneezing long enough to sleep or cook. How about you?

Perfect timing! Let's hope KK has good timing too.

    "You made me" ??

I love how maddeningly gradually the backstory is being revealed. Connor just got more interesting. He also has the coolest coat. :)

A little anticlimactic seeing the putz who is piloting the rogue sailboat. Was hoping for something a little more menacing, but he just looks kind of redneck-y. 'Course he could just be the scout for a more badass gang of protagonists...

I hope the allergy fairy takes the mucus wand away, Ariana.

Tis a warm and sunny day here. This kind of thing has the potential to make one unneasy.

Liked this episode; a li'l bit of suspense.

I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Hulk like Freakangels this week. Hulk like interconnectedness between characters and tenacity of their values. Hulk eyes turn funny color too, and Hulk get head trauma sometimes, like boat man. Hulk no like underwater with head wound! Hulk get stuck underwater with head wound ALL THE TIME! However, Hulk love free camping gear!

Hulk no like 4th of July but this year maybe Hulk eat some steak.

"KK always misses" - this isn't going to turn into one of those comics now, is it?

as ever, a wonderful friday treat!

    "You made me" ??

As in "You made me mention the weight thing", not "You made me, Dr Frankenstein".

I think Jack would have noticed the boat next to his while surfacing...

i did not see this happening
  4.  (2846.10)
Finally we have some real conflict.

It's not what's down there, it's what's waiting on the surface always gets you - love the bubbles, they have an independent life,
    will they hatch?

Anyone else notice how on pages 3 and 4, Connor is played by someone else? And that's why he was faced away from us ;)
I want a flashback or picture of chubby Connor to arise.
Underwater with Jack is freaking gorgeous.

Don't know where I'll be seeing fireworks this year, but I hope I'll have some secret access to a rooftop like did a few years back.

@Ariana, I hope your allergies don't drive you nuts today. I always keep a stock of advil cold/sinus around. It hits the spot when I don't have any real allergy meds.

I am upset with the turn of events. I have learned never to like any one of Warren's characters too much because he'll kill 'em just to make you cry.

i have been temporarily defeated by a piece of oddly constructed bedroom furniture. i will win eventually, but for now:

drooled over the bubbles and the camping store. 'the weight thing' was hysterical and i really enjoyed Alice's smile after them. Also, I love that you can tell that Sirkka is wearing a front clasp bra. (she is, right?)

Paul & Warren: many kudos to you both today - what fun and suspense and loveliness!

Ariana: many wishes of death to your allergies on this day of Sales and Closed Stores. feel better soon.

Well, the guy who twatted Jack is either very smart and has a plan, or is almost as stupid as Alice was when she turned up. I'm interested to see which...

Which might matter more if I could stop sneezing long enough to sleep or cook. How about you?

I just picked up some allergy/sinus med for the husband a bit ago. The grocery store is a madhouse - it's not like the 4th crept up, after all. I woke up this morning to the delicious smell of BBQ on the grill. If my nose is correct, we got pig (domestic and wild), cow and deer cooking at various houses on my dirt street. The goal is to make it home from work without getting killed by the idiots on the road. Second goal is not to have the fields burn due to fireworks. We've had two inches of rain in the last two days, so that's going to help. Still dry out there though.

Freakangels = brilliant. The only thing that bugged me was the other boat, too. Why didn't he see it? Other than that, lovely to read and enjoy this morning. I can't wait until I get my hands on the trade in November.

Results? Hmmm. I wonder what he means by that. Random opportunism turning up something, or was this a planned attack and he knew who and what he was going after, and what the likely consequences would be?

I need a time machine to get to next week right now!
