    Hopefully my No Hero shirt!

...honestly I think Cthulu is the only thing that's coming for me... I'm waiting for the TPB for Black Summer, since I missed the start of it.

Ah, shit. Is it bad form if I say I'll be picking up my own comic on Wednesday? FlyingFuckingSaucers VS The Earth #3?

The big question for me is: am I going to lay down more hard-earned cash for another issue of Glamourpuss. The first issue was a bizarre, listless trainwreck. Although beautifully drawn, of course. Still, for some reason I find myself incredibly curious about where the comic is going, even though I have a feeling the answer is nowhere.

Anyway, I guess if I've given Secret Invasion four issues, I owe Dave Sim at least a second chance.

    Madame Xanadu #2
    Dead Space #5
    Project Kalki #3
    DMZ #33

Am I the only one who gets really annoyed/confused at all this multi-cover and re-issue business? I end up buying the same thing more than once because I don't keep lists and have a memory like a steel sieve. I'm really happy things are staying in print/having second editions, but man. If just it would come with a sticker that says "You may already own this!"

Though, mypulllist.com is helping with this a little...
  4.  (3051.8)
    Daredevil #109
    Immortal Iron Fist #17
    Supernatural: Rising Son #4
    Thunderbolts #122
    Trinity #8

It's a week of changing creative teams, and, if history is to be believed, two more books off of the pull list. I hate rotating creative teams. Still, I've been buying Thunderbolts forever. We shall see.

Oh, and I'll grab Nocturnals if my shop has a copy. Been a long time coming, that.

Is that the same Nocturnals created by Brereton? Or has there been a completely different series written with the same name in the 10 years that I wasn't paying attention?
  6.  (3051.11)
Apparently Michael Marshall Smith's creepy thriller 'The Straw Men' has been adapted to a 12-part comic through Zenescope Entertainment.
The first issue is on this weeks release list. I think I'll be checking that one out. I'll be interested to find out how well it is done.

    Benedictions

AMERICAN FLAGG HC VOL 1 (I'll eventually buy this, haven't decided if I want to spend a massive amount of money this week and get it now)
BLACK SUMMER #7 (finally, the finale!)
SCUD THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN THE WHOLE SHEBANG TP (yes yes yes...only $30 for the whole shebang!)
SHE-HULK 2 #31 (don't really want to buy this one, but I'm a big X-FACTOR fan and unfortunately Peter David is conducting his own personal crossover)
UNCANNY X-MEN #500 (don't want to keep buying this book, but Brubaker has been making it fun as of late [though Choi's art was maybe the main high point for me], and I'm a total Fraction whore)
WAR HEROES #1 (haven't decided if I want to trade-wait or not, but I'm thinking I may get this monthly [unless it is delayed] since it is on Image)

    DMZ #33 (MR)
    EXTERMINATORS #30
    INVINCIBLE #51
    AVENGERS INITIATIVE #15
    DAREDEVIL #109
    IMMORTAL IRON FIST #17
    NEW AVENGERS #43
SKRULLS ONE-SHOT (Maybe. I'll look at it at the store)
THUNDERBOLTS #122 (Gonna stick with this for now even though Warren's done on it. We'll see how it goes.)
ULTIMATE X-MEN #96 (I actually have bought but not read all of the issues since Kirkman left. I'm thinking I'll catch up before I actually hit up the store and then decide if I want to keep getting the title. I've heard bad things about this Colette guy who took over, so I need to make sure I still wanna stick with it.)
BLACK SUMMER #7 (Gonna try and get the zombie cover if I can, but any cover will do, really)
    DAN DARE #7
    GRAVEL #3
SNAKEPIT TP VOL 03 2007 (Ben's a friend of mine, but really, I'd probably enjoy his comics even if I didn't know him)

Damn, I buy a lotta comics. I should work on that.
  7.  (3051.14)
I promised my girlfriend I'd start saving money but I can't find an issue of Madman Atomic Comics #3 anywhere so I have to buy the trade. Also, the Army @ Love trade and Crooked Little Vein in Paperback... and Invincible 51... and Glamourpuss... and etc.

    @CamyLuna
Is that the same Nocturnals created by Brereton?

@Spiraltwist Thanks for clearing that up for me. I probably would have missed it, and I loved that first series when it came out.

Huge week for me this week, as Image take a large chunk of my paycheck with:

-The huge complete Scud collection, which I've been waiting a loooong time for.
-The lovely American Flagg collection, which holds up amazingly well for a book that's nigh-on 25 years old. It looks great, too, probably worth the two years they spent preparing it for reprint.
-Comic Book Tattoo, another massive (the size and thickness of 10 vinyl albums) book full of lovely art. Quite a lot of Engine, Panel and Pixel & Whitechapel board-members contribute too, at least 20 or so.
    - Liberty Comics, which had a few gems in it.

    plus a few Marvel books:
    -Daredevil
    -Uncanny X-Men
    -X-Men Legacy
and the sole DC book, Ambush Bug, which was enormous fun, and had me wanting to get my old AB's out of storage.

    - Flight vol 5 & Meathaus SOS will have to wait a few weeks, till my wallet recovers from the above, and I'm not sure whether we got the Snakepit or Brainfag Forever books in yet. Dontcha just love the pre-SDCC release schedule.

    My list this week:

Gravel #3 - Excellent! A little backstory on Wm. Gravel and the manuscript.
JLA #23 - An Amazo story. Forgetable, and I just read it last night. Only thing I enjoyed was Zatanna's line "Hey pay attention to me!"
CMLDF Liberty Comics #1: Great stuff. Best of the week so far.
Dan Dare: I passed on this one until tomorrow. I'm glad it's wrapping up. I've enjoyed certain parts of it, but it hasn't lit the world on fire.

I should have bought Ambush Bug. I need to either steal a friend's copy or buy it next week.
