Some psychic and steam powered arse eels are no doubt on their way to the invaders.
A stern lesson in propriety and politeness at any rate - but likely with a twist.
I'm some 5000 miles from nerd prom but usefully only 5 minutes from the screen that my Dark Knight ticket is for at 2 this afternoon. Must go do the hygene thing.
I'm also in England. Had a major fire at work overnight taking out the IT in various parts of the hospitals, including lots of the parts I am responsible for, so I've been dealing with phone calls and meetings with directors all day so far. You wouldn't believe there were this many fire tenders in the whole of London.
Up the Uk mob. Am sweltering in air-con-bereft office here in Brum, enjoying the new episode muchly. Proper action - tension mounting. Looking forward to the end of this arc now.
What building is it supposed to be the marauders come out from behind? Looks like the Gherkin, but too low and wrong side of river. Charing Cross station perhaps?
I saw Wil mention nerd prom last year and hadn't the foggiest what he was on about. Now I do. Guess I'm not a nerd then (yay me) - just a geek (sic) suffering Twitter's endless spasms and failures to use a where clause when filtering out spam.
It's the City Hall in Potters Field Park, isn't it?

And there's a cracking photo of it taken from the Tower here: http://www.england2004.afewbytes.com/images/Glass%20Dome%20by%20Tower%20of%20London%20(Medium).JPG
this is getting dice-y and a pacing change. hummmm; something tells me to hang on. and, how cool would it be to see through another's eyes? something tells me the violence boiling up is going to be massive.
as to the nerd prom; somethings are best left unattended.
Yeah, I'm thinking we all better fasten our seatbelts now--the leisured pace of things thus far just went by the wayside in a big way. Personally, I'm excited.
I'm on the wrong coast for nerd prom, but I've never been the convention type anyway. Never been to one at all, in fact. Were I to start going this year, it would have been to Chicago to see Warren speak, but any money I would have spent on something like that had to go towards getting me to Missouri to be the best man in one of my oldest friends' wedding. So no conventions of any sort this year. It's fine; if there was anything really cool to be had, the guys from my local comic shop will get copies and bring them back.
I require a "Fast Forward to Next Friday" button...you can't leave me hanging like this!!! I promise I will put everything right back where I found it...if I can...there are some thing you just can't put back very easily...but...but...but....ahhhhgghghh!
Nerd Prom...I think it would be interesting to see it one of these years; this was not that year.
Hah, The glass testicle! I always figured my work (next door) would be under water, come the floods. And another new lot! Looking forward to seeing how the FA handle this - do we have a location for the Mudlarks? Further down the Thames, I assume going by the traditional haunts of the Mudlarks and all?
You could not pay me enough to attend Nerd Prom, thank you.
I'm all the way across the country from Nerd Prom. I'll be watching the G4 coverage. I'd love to go one day...then again maybe not; it looks like a Titanic-sized sardine can.
Also, can it really even be called Nerd Prom anymore with all the cool kids (Hollywood) crashing it?
Yeah, that's right. You can reference by the locations in the scenes with Jack in. That's the Battersea power station he sails by, and those houses he's between later are north from there in Belgravia. And hah! I hadn't heard 'glass testicle', I think I'll use that from now on, it's a silly building XD Fun to ruin.
