fleming wrote some eclipso, recently did one of those "lets replace the dialogue in old comics with funny shit!" books i think. he also happens to shop at the store in phoenix where i just had my art displayed as part of their auto bio comics show.
Never came out. I originally thought it was DF also, but I remember Erik Larsen fielding questions about this at one point, so it seems as though Image has some involvement with the trade.
I believe the first two trades were released for the seminal but unfortunately and editorially sabotaged WildCats 3.0. Robbie Morrison's Coup de Tat left what I believe was an obscuring smear of shit across the WildCats' story, if not over the rest of the WildStorm line.
Man that was a great comic. I think Joe Casey was crippled after that was cancelled. Man, he loved that book like it was his only child. Godland's okay but I think it's too much of a satirising homage to Kirby and Lee to take seriously.
He did get to finish the story though, even if it isn't the way he planned it to end. What pisses me off is that I can't with good faith sell the two trades to anyone, knowing they won't see an end. I just can't get my head around it. Just collect the whole damn thing so we can sell it. They did the same thing with Peter David's Fallen Angel. An excellent series, but crippled because the trades never came out (and because it wasn't a Vertigo title, but whatever, it was on the Vertigo rack in our store).
All Star Squadron Infinity Inc. vol. 1 Strikeforce Morituri the rest of the New Universe stuff Ellis' Hellstorm, Druid, and Ruins Checkmate vol. 1 Suicide Squad vol. 1 Darkstars Flex Mentallo Marvelman Foolkiller Human Defense Corps Knights of Pendragon New Warriors vol. 1 Sugarvirus all the Impact books
Death's Head was released in the States as either "the Life and Times of Death's Head" or "The Incomplete Death's Head" I can't remember which was the US release.
Hey Will -- I'll bet you could put yourself through med-school selling bound copies of good, uncollected runs on Ebay -- especially if the original comics can be had out of the quarter bins. The Hellstorm stuff all used to turn up there, though I imagine that's changed in the past couple of years.
I didn't think anyone outside a library had even bound periodicals into books for about 100 years. If you don't mind my asking, who does it for you, and what's it cost you?
Not Will, but it looks like those books were done by Library Binding Company. I've had more than few books done by them (including a Hellstorm one) and they look familiar. They run $15 + shipping for a basic bind, more if you want it all fancy-like.
I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
One of the great thinga about living so far off the beaten path is that it takes so long for the comics to get shipped here I know what is already sold out before it even hits our rack. Brubakers death of Cap was already peaking by the time my issue showed in my file. I hated Cap but I got this one from the first as a Brubaker fan and loved it. The earlier Ellis X stuff ,has it been collected? I have a Ellis story with Kitty Pride and black trenchcoat guy called "Easy Tiger" that was very very good.
The art from the first Stormwatch runs look a bit dated but the writing is terrific. <img src="http://<a href="http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4780813" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/2/4518373096.jpg"" alt="" />
