Ben Belland, Renee, Juan Santapau, Alex Williams and Paul Grimsley present for your visual, aural and intellectual pleasure the extravaganza that is LOOM
Woven from the warp and weft of five very individual minds comes a site of original material that will hit all the right spots.

The Patchwork Years a piece by Mr Ellis asked the questions and Loom is our answer. Come one, come all, and show your support for an exciting new venture into art, music, writing, photography and all manner of wonderful excursions into the realms of creativity.

This week is where you get to see who is behind the curtain.

Quite interesting. I'll definitely check this out in the future. Love the bit about elevator operators.

    Best of luck.

Threw it into my RSS reader. Is everything going through that website?

also, will you have artist statement/mission statement/purpose explanation/what have you? I'm interested in the directionality of the art blogs I follow(particularly since they seem to drift/evolve/die).

Took the RSS feed and created a Livejournal syndication. LOOM LJ syndication

When most of the writing answers the question "what does Loom mean to you?" I have to try not to throw up a little. I'm sorry but should you really need to state that sort of thing outside of a collective statement like outlawpoet suggests? It would also be nice to be able to sort posts by creator...or have something else going on in the sidebar.

that said, I love the decrepit industrial photography, looks like you're off to a good start, good luck keeping it up.

Sarpedon, I think you're running into the limits of the Tumblr system itself, rather than identifying flaws in their thinking.

You have to really mess about with Tumblr a lot to get new features like that. I had to fiddle to get comments running, using Disqus.

You could do the author sorting using tags, with something like ZoomClouds, and you can manually edit the template to get the sidebar populated, but it's ugly.

Thanks for the suggestions! A page that shows our profiles and mission statement would be ideal, but it´s waiting until I can slam some extra cash into web hosting. As well, our mission statement seems to be along the lines of ¨drift with each other¨, no real aesthetic or goal in mind but to create things that make us happy.

    Awesome, thanks!

Think of this week´s entries like a mission statement, only broken up and given from each of us. Don´t care? Come back later and see if there´s something else you like.

I've been wrapped up in other peoples' realities for far too long apparently. The first thing I thought of was the Lucas Arts game where you use music to warp reality.
