If you can ignore the icky script and lift music, the ideas aren't as awe-inspiring as <a href="http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/blaise_aguera_y_arcas_demos_photosynth.html" >the Microsoft Photosynth\Surface\Seadragon demo</a> last year, but they are interesting nevertheless. (I just wish that 3D desktop environments weren't always the answer, but that's just backwash from Lawnmower Man and Johnny Mnemonic)]]>

			<![CDATA[The 3d Display they use reminds me a lot of Youtubes old video association thing, where you could pan through a series of video based off of tag or name relation and you ended up sort of wondering through a series of variously colored groupings. It was like wandering around a spider web and if you did it for too long you would get hopelessly lost in the clutter as branches sprung from old nodes continuously. How do they keep the clutter down and leave you with a way back to your origin? That was my problem with Youtube's interface, but it seemed rather ambitious.]]>

			Ironically, I rather like the 'puzzle box' UI dreamed up in Johnny Mnemonic. It seemed compact enough that it could be very useful if you knew how to use it. Bit like early Linux really.
