    I draw a webcomic for fun & catharsis. It's silly, improvised nonsense mostly, but the people at work seem to like it.
    What I'd really like to do though, is write an actual comicbook (or “graphic novel”, as they say). After I finish 3 other projects.

    Given the low frequency of me showing up here, the least I can do is raise my head whenever Warren asks the likes of me to do so.

    Incidentally, my webcomic CONNY VAN EHLSING, MONSTER HUNTER is about to enter its second season some time in September. So, good timing.

    I keep reading the lamentations of writers who need artists on this board. I'm in the opposite boat as an artist who needs a writer. Word of advice my friends: Philadelphia is a bad place to be when looking for a creative team up. Even when someone expresses enthusiastic interest, you can bet your last donut you may not hear from them again anyway. Or maybe you should come here. Cause I'm here, and I'm an artist

    Wanting to do them and doing them. My art has improved a bit, but my story lines are still abysmally bad. Oh, well...

    My first OGN, Minister Jade came out recently through Cellar Door Publishing and I'll have some other work appearing online soon in a place I can't mention yet. I'd like to get some momentum going and get more published work, and I'd LOVE to be able to just write and not have to draw anymore.
    It's nice having total control over a project, but drawing is a lot of work. A lot of long, lonely work best left to raggedy Irish children in tenements.

    So I had a dream last night that really got my brain moving, and I started adapting it into a comic.

    I've started writing it down like a novel, and once I get it in fighting shape, I'm taking it to the literal drawing board.

    Starting is the hardest part. I hope.

    My graphic novel Tear of Heaven is in pre-production. Right now, I'm just writing the Writer's Bible for the series and training to get my artistic kung-fu strong.

    Also working on a post-apocalyptic biker drama called Children of Earth.

    Sure I would like to make comics! What's not to like?

    I'm currently scribbling down ideas for some kind of supernatural horror story which may be suited for a character like the Hulk, but which may also be a new character with the same sort of primitive "sauvage noble" mindset the Hulk has.

    I just resigned 3 months into a 1-year contract. My first contract, given promptly after my very first submission ever.

    They were becoming increasingly noncommunicative.

    And I have needed to spend more time desperately searching for a dayjob as I have been unable to paint anything in months. Bills are a dastardly invention.


    You won this round LIFE, but I plan on fighting extra dirty in the rematch.

    Nah, absolutely no time. Made a half-ass attempt to break in 14 years ago, quickly figured out that I hate surviving on Top Ramen. Now I'm hip-deep in work, life, more work, family, much more work, et al., so I've shelved the old scripts for a rainy day. However...

    Theoretically, should I ever have several million in capital lying around, I'd start a comics company as a tax write-off project. The business plan would be to take all they guys that I don't see enough of, give them creator-owned contracts for all their work, and then just turn them loose. Specifically, these would be people I personally would love to see more of, such as: Don McGregor, Roy Thomas, Bill Messner-Loebs, Rich Buckler, Len Wein, Steve Engelhart, Don Perlin, and lots of other people I miss. The whole point would be to let them do whatever they wanted. No deadlines, no pressures, just a way to say thank-you to the people who helped form my consciousness and fulfill the ancient fannish dream...

    Illustrating and lettering around my day job.

    I drew Starship Troopers: Extinction Protocol (written by Cy Dethan) for almost 2 years which came to an end early this year. Workigng with the same writer I have illustrated a short story "Remember This Moment", and am lettering his OGN Cancertown (out at the end of the year through Insomnia) and the first appearance of Harlan Falk :Zombie Negotiator that will be in 11th hour.

    Aside from working with Cy I am drawing 3 stories for the next 3 Accent Uk anthologies - Westerns, Predators and Victoriana and having a great time :)

    Going to be doing a big (in size - 90" square) mixed media piece with a textile artist friend and Cy based on Cancertown
