It's Friday, and FREAKANGELS, Book Two, continues. And really, if you decide to follow and consume any of the recipes in the comic, promptly go blind, and can't finish the book... it's really not Warren's fault.
Good morning, Whitechapel. Some of you just started school this week, and others have been dodging storms and other weather weirdness. Check in, what-ever your week's been like, and let us know how you're faring? -
Wow, what a suspenseful episode. You can really tell that the shits going to hit the fan in Book Two. Also, I want some tea wine.
Still loving the evening / dusk colours of Book Two... such a different atmosphere to Book One.
Some really interesting concepts in the dialogue... "You never really know where you're living..." so true.
Looking forward to buying the trade. -
I must admit to being tempted by that little recipe there. Not for myself, of course, but I know some punk kids who'd probably try it. Hmmm.

Shitty weather, busy week at work. Resigned to the fact that the renovations on the flat aren't going to be finished before the baby arrives. -
mmm, tea wine. actually, it makes me think of orange juice with bits in it. except it's even worse, 'cos it's mangy bits of tea leaves and probably tea bags.
i hope KK's not going to drink and fly home. -
Dusk and candlelight makes for pretty comic. Still loving the leisurely pace this thing is moving at. Having six pages of people sitting and talking (and drinking horrible shit) be as interesting as giant dart-firing gatling guns is a talent that should not be underestimated, in either writer or artist. Lovely job, as usual.
Sadly, the most significant things I've achieved this week is being turned down for a job before even getting an interview, and, in a moment of sheer boredom, starting a twitter account, which, seeing as I don't really have any friends online, is pretty much me talking to myself. Hopefully, sitting down and spouting random stuff on a regular basis might jog my lately uncooperative creative brain-parts. If nothing else, I can now follow Warren's disturbing thoughts in real time. Which reminds me, buzzsaws are so passé. I'd recommend a peg-leg that actually shoots vole semen at offenders. -

well now, seems there be interesting things in the mix. both in a brief history and in the near future. god, this whole episode had me thinking back to drinking thunderbird with friends and talking about survival and moving on in our world. just a good solid human piece. thanks warren. paul....really good job on the up close and personal aspects of your effort into all this. ariana, thanks for reminding us that a really good mechanic is only seen in 'her' call to duty, never in 'her' contributions to perfection. freakangel friday is always here, up and waiting for me no matter what time i get out of bed. i never fear.
my freakangel friday is looking up. do have a doctor visit this afternoon that is rather important, but hell; aren't they all! (?) -

Freakangels = awesome.
Second week of school, though not the first full week - I don't count three days as full week, and neither is four days. I think they eased us into this semester on purpose. Good for the freshman, easy for the seniors. -

For the first time since I started reading FreakAngels I waited at my laptop at 11-55 for the episode to be posted. I have been looking forward to this all week, it's not been the best of weeks, but as usual FreakAngels does not fail to impress. Amongst all the dreary weather we have had some sunshine. What a good episode and subtly hinting at things to come. Loved it!!!

Great exposition this week, and I think Paul's night-time colors are prettier than his daytimes.
This week has been pretty much like every other week. Second week of school. Next week should be the nutter, though. Wife's out-of-state job interview and all.
Oh, and I acquired the new Metallica album the other day. It's pretty alright. Definitely be buying it.
That's pretty much my week. -

Tea wine sounds...well...interestingly perverse. Now hoping not to receive any flack for my problems with reality on Fridays, but good to have an alternative one to dive into again. Agree with all the (positive) comments on colours and all the rest. Still wearing my Freakangels T with pride.

This week is beyond description. My brainmeats are long gone. Yesterday I worked 13 hours. Today I worked 14 and a half. I forget earlier in the week, but there was plenty of overtime in there too. All because my boss went to an interstate conference on wednesday, and that very afternoon EVERY single one of our clients demanded their work by Friday. Its nearly killed me.
Sleep time now. Much needed sleep time. Before heading out to do another couple hours work tomorrow. Shouldn't be more than 4 at the most. Damn working on Saturdays. Sleep now.... -
Old John should have tried herb ale! There's a local brewery that makes a gruit ale completely out of herbs that is amazing. But I guess if you left the tea bags in it would taste pretty awful.
My week has been kind of crazy but in a good way. So much is changing that has needed to change, I'm still trying to process it. I started seeing an awesome guy named Crow, although I'm getting tired of the jokes about our names. My best friend has started referring to loft bed as The Nest or The Rookery
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend regardless of whether or not their weeks went well.

I've probably said this before, but nothing makes a better Friday morning than just reading the words "Good morning, Whitechapel. It's Friday. It's FREAKANGELS." Fuck, Folgers, that's the best part of waking up. Ariana, Warren, Paul, thank you.
Between watching my girl going through a pretty significant personality change and watching this season of hurricanes threaten to smash into my favorite city (Savannah, GA) and postpone my schooling, it's been a bit of a kaleidoscope-of-horror week. But I think it's getting better.
Winther - I'm about the break down and get a twitter as well, so you won't be the new kid on the block for long.
Rickie - I agree. I'm loving the way he mixes oranges and violets like that. Everything in Book Two seems much more alive, so far. One of the joys of reading Freakangels is the opportunity to see such a good artist like Paul try out different lighting and composition. -

When I hear tea wine I'd think it would taste like (the incredibly sweet) muscadine wine that's been going around "out hur inda cuntrie"...
After the apocalypse...all the alcohol, cigarettes, and condoms would be gone in months. You'd think Freakangels would be growing marijuana up on that tower; but maybe it makes them incapable of using their telepathic abilities...it'd make a great item to barter with though.

Very nice! I like the tone and conversation in this episode; it's quite revealing but I love the feeling that it's only the tip of the iceberg. I look forward to finding out more.
