    The middle ages never happened.

    Christ was crucified in Constantinople in what we think was the year 1086.

    The crusades were initiated by Christ's immediate followers in retaliation for his murder.

    The Old Testament is actually an account of the history of Europe from roughly the 14th to 17th centuries.

    Constantinople, Troy and Jerusalem were all the same city.

    Sounds like something for the Creationist Museum to look into - even more ways for them to cram billions of years into 5000!

    The Biblical Temple of Solomon was not destroyed, says Fomenko - it is still known to us as the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.

    I'd heard a theory that the second temple wasn't build on the site of the first one because the exact location was forgetten in the Babylonian exile, but I hadn't known they'd gotten it that wrong.

    I read a book about similar conspiracy theories some time ago. Unfortunately I forgot the authors name, but it was called 'the invented middle ages'. The author basically claimed that there was a huge hole in our chronology, and that Charlemagne possibly didn't exist (or at a later time). Most of his argumentation revolved around the Aachen cathedral, built in the 8th-9th century according to our chronology. Apparently, the technology and architecture used in building the cathedral was only effectively used in the 11th to 12th century. For this and some other reasons, the author came to the conclusion that much of the dark middle ages never happened or was simply invented later on for political reasons.

    P.S. I don't endorse the conspiracy theory, just wanted to point it out. At least it's not as outrageous as the one cited above.

    Most extreme conspiracy theory is a mask for fear, hatred or other unpleasant things carefully cloaked in package of "this is what really happened..." This is crazy in a math way. Fomenko clearly can't see that human beings make the same mistakes over and over so he has built a history on the notion we act like a random number generator. And worked hard enough to make an entire fictional version of the world in the process.

    The simple fact that history is full of choices repeated over and over bang up against a crazy mathematician that insists everything must conform neatly to a probabilistic curve for repetition of random events.

    And as crazy goes, thats a rather cool crazy.

    Umm, in Russia his work has been used to argue that the Roman, Mongol and Russian empires were all one and that Russia (from its capital in Constantiniple) ruled all of Europe, Asia and the Middle East up until a few hundred years ago.

    Then the filthy lying Catholic scum (at the instigation of the Jews) formulated their fake heretical religion in order to depose Russia from its rightful place as the dominant world power.

    Oh and there never were any advanced non-European civilisations: the Egyptians and Babylonians et al never existed; the achievements of the Arabs, Indians and the Chinese were all really the work of the Russians.

    Whenever I think someone could actually manage to instigate an evil, conspiratorial empire on their own, someone points out its due to the machinations of those pesky Jews again.

    I just wish someone would create a New One World Satanic Atheist Communist Government Order without anyone else fiddling behind the scenes.

    I just think that if it wasn't for those manipulating Jews we'd still be huddled in caves trying to light fires with rocks.
