I think that we can all agree that we want to visit space. Whether to just breach orbit or to sail the vast sea of stars, we all are inspired by the heavens.

So here's my plan, let's compile a small compendium of space music. Show me the music you want to take with you to orbit and beyond. Show me the music that'll play either in your helmet or in your head when you set foot on a new world or when you're fighting pirates off the rings of Saturn, or even when your catching a break next to humming warmth of the ship's reactor.

I'm aware that Muxtape is probably being eviscerated by the RIAA, so if you can post your music or links on Whitechapel. Post as many as you please.

    See you out there.

First: "Storm" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Makes me think of staring at the stars, then climbing up into them.

    The Lord Weird Slough Feg
I'd prefer High Passage/Low Passage but I couldn't find a good quality video of it. The whole album just captures the space feel so well. As it should it is a concept album after all, this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title.

So many, many, many Hawkwind and Queen songs... Heck you could probably produce a whole mix-tape of Hawkwind and Queen songs that are about space exploration

I've got a bit set in my head telling me that Queen have done two songs about the Einstein Twin Paradox. '39 is one, but I can't for the life of me remember the other and a quick flick through wiki hasn't helped. Anyone?
