Hmmm... the use of pulsatilla, especially the instructions to chew it seem really *wrong*. To use it homoeopathically would also have no effect, because it's, you know, mumbo-jumbo ...

Which I think is an important part of this exchange given how Mr Ellis research is damn fine and so these 'errors' I think might point to the character, or even the world in which they are living.

As for the Doctor in action - is she really just "looking" inside only, or is she actually doing something with the funky purple glow? If the pills are a follow-up and aren't even going to help what's wrong per se, did she fix it? The brain is tired and wishes this little detailed clarified.

It's interesting that the people there really have no idea the Freakangels caused the tides to roll in, yet the Freakangels are smart enough to have set up civilization. I know that thier gifts aren't talked about much (or known for that matter), but there is no way they could have gone this long without some people figuring out something was a bit "off" about the people with the purple lamps. In a small town, everyone knows your business either directly, or via someone else.

Basically the water shoots out in a timed fashion so one stream appears to be, for example, jumping from place to place on the ground, or creating different geometric shapes, or what have you. Considering that she mentions it's only the boys, we can deduce that there's some pretty interesting "fountain" impressions going on. I laughed really hard at that panel.

I liked the interaction between mother and doctor. I think the panel after they left was just heartbreaking. Paul's skies during the Alice scene were fantastic. I also liked the very smooth vomiting panel. Hiding that bit of grossness. For some reason I just don't like drawn vomit. No one seems to make it convincing. What better way than to hide it?

This week was big. I had my first test/exam of the semester, which I got a high B on without having actually attended class save for like 3 or 4 days, I had a huge 3D modeling project that I THINK I did well on, and, probably most importantly, we found out that my wife got her Indiana job, which means that we have to move to Fort Wayne at the end of the year. Exciting times, considering. If I can actually get an office in our new apartment, I'm actually going to start seriously writing. Like, quit-your-day-job style. I can't right now; my office is the living room, and with a two-year-old, that's not conducive to a good work ethic.

Of course, all of my friends and family are here. We have no friends nor relations in Indiana. So that should be nerve-wracking. But exciting!

They keep saying they "ended the world", that could mean quite a few things, including wastelands or places simply missing (given the supernatural nature of things they've already done). Does the world exist, in it's own broken fashion, beyond the area? The other question in my mind is, do they even know? Have they explored beyond the region? Are they assuming when they say they ended the world? How "wide" can Arkady really see? How far has KK flown? (okay that's several, interwoven questions) I'm sure there are clues (no internet, radio, or television broadcasts...) that the world outside isn't normal, but I want to know if they've actually seen everything.
