    100% agree with you.

    I know someone who's parents divorced when he was 18. His mother left and told him she'd only stayed for him and was only waiting for him to turn eighteen, and had been miserable all that time. She was a teen mother and only wanted the best for her kid. He forgave her for telling him something like that, but still carries a lot of guilt over it. I can't imagine the conflicting anger and guilt-over-anger one would feel towards one's deaf parents that inflicted the same disability on them.

    Maybe the argument is that they'd 'love' their disability/'identity' so much it would never occur to them to be angry.

    Those people have clearly never had children.
