I just read too fast. Don't take the time to properly absorb things. Although I seemed to be one of the few that got the flashback straight off last week... So who knows.
Great installment this week. KK's drunken demeanor is giggle-inducing.
"That's because I hit you in the back of the head with a brick."
Obviously this was before any medical oaths were taken (if, indeed, any were). -

They say every society gets the criminals it deserves. The Big Hair Eighties (which I don't miss) certainly deserved Brian Thompson, who kicks major ass as a villain. -

Somehow I missed a bottlerang and an inverted panel. Only a normal reading experience here.
I suppose if anyone could make a bottlerang it would be a freak angel. -

When I was in Education there was a guy who thought Cobra was brilliant. He kept going on about it, so I heard that line maybe 30 times that year. He also spoke in an affected British accent...

I just woke up and had to do a double take on the bottlerang myself. I puzzled it out tho. Perhaps I should shower THEN read.

God, I love the sky pictures. Just gorgeous and they set this really beautiful color tone for the whole comic.
That first page is a lovely bit of composition. The story has been going on for what, seven months? The dread is still there, this unease about what we will learn about what the FA are and what they did and what came after. Keeping a mystery going on a weekly basis is no small feat. -

there is a lot of celebration of the line from Cobra, and rightfully so... being the cinematic masterpiece that it is. However, where is the love for Show Me The Way to Go Home? It makes me want to watch JAWS now.

So, when the action figures are released, KK will have a "Water-Canteen-of-Doom" and Miki will have a "Bottlerang"? (tempted to sculpt now... no, focus on current project)
Lovely episode, beautiful first page, still love the pacing (because it promises awesome Graphic Novelness) Kait sounds like fun, hope I like her. I find it wonderful that we've come so far from the first mention of the Freakcave without actually seeing it. That would never happen in your average comics, it would have shown up within the next few pages or the next issue at latest.
For us in the U.S. it is a tad early. I just got up, kissed my lady as she left for work, and turned on my laptop. I'm already several hours behind the first posts. I don't mind, it's a nice way to start the day, but I can see why some of us aren't catching everything right away.
As for my week, all's well. Only frustration came when I realized how little time I have to finish up my Halloween costume (it takes time to construct a realistic Werewolf, after all). Now frantic to finish!

Now that "feel the heat" is on loop in my already sketchy mental processor...
have discovered the joy of reading this with my co-worker every week. there are a number of reasons why this is a very cool thing, not least of which is that i never ever read anything with anyone else at the same time because i read so damn fast that it's usually a bore. only this isn't. it never is. and we talk about it. good-ness.
so happy to see KK doin' the drunken goose step. love the boots. and the glowy-sober-now 'nnng'.
life in nebraska is about to get really interesting. we've got split electoral votes and bill ayers coming to town. also, i'm moving next weekend and have a sore shoulder muscle. am thinking of bribing poets with beer and wine.

First two pages are my favourites. I really like how relaxed Alice is looking compared to how angry and strung out she was when we first met her.
Was that Kait's feet we just saw? I can't wait to see why they call her crazy. -
This one was brilliantly colored.
I'm excited to meet the last freakangel. She sounds awesome, how can anyone not like 80s cop movies? I like that this is sort of the first throw back to what they liked before.
And I secretly hope Kait is just for Kait, not Kathryn or Kaitlyn or Kathleen. (like me, just kate) -
Another excellent installment. I loved the "crime is a disease" line, even if I didn't know where it was from.

Y'know, I've subconsciously wondered for awhile now what purpose those 'hoses' coming out the front of KK's corset actually serve? Maybe *THEY* are what enable her Insta-Sobriety?! :O
