@ Warren Ellis: oh man, I love The Sundays. Their lyrics are unique, a kind of wry disaffection, a cynical sweetness, that just suits the singer's voice perfectly... And her vocal range is stunning. Reading, Witing and Atihmetic is one of my favourite albums of that era, and I listen to it frequently. 'Youre Not The Only One I Know' is my favourite I think, just for the lyrics... The only band that really satisfy the same craving is Lanterns on the Lake. True English poetry, beautifully produced and played simply by consummate musicians. Quietly brilliant, the antithesis of the ego-rock of an Oasis or the self-conscious artiness of a White Strripes.. I've run out of superlatives. Thanks for posting that YouTube clip.
