    Information~! Kait's a badass cop? Awesome. Once again, we're Alice and I love it (despite the shirt issue).

    My week has been shitty & good. The first half was shitty, work is a bitch, and people who run libraries haven't got a clue. Had a great day off yesterday, lunch with a pretty girl and hanging out at the comic shop all afternoon, and this morning I sang songs to toddlers and delivered flowers to a girl for her birthday. I feel like, today at least, I rock.

    Good morning Ariana, morning all. I"m barely alive, think i left my brain in my warm bed. Long day of classes ahead and i'm broke. think i've got enough for a cup of coffee. Today is going to suck, but at least i've got me some freakangels to read. And it's free too. That alone is worth waking up for.

    Wow. Off hand, I can't think of another writer who'd have the guts to leave properly introducing us to the main characters until the start of volume 2. Not to mention handling such a huge cast

    Afternoon all. Friday here has turned into a pleasant way to begin the weekend. Clear blue skies, Warren's birthday greetings to the annoying toad with mutant powers, and now FA#32. Trying to remember where I've seen Kait's haircut on a spooky character before but all I'm getting is Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber. Oh wait, Cate Blanchett in Indy IV. Love the paper folds in the sepia prints on pages 5 and 6 btw - wonder whose photos\drawing they are? Is there any reason why its Kait and not Kate btw?

    I'm digging Kait. I have a feeling she's going to be one of those hard-as-nails-on-the-outside, fragile-on-the-inside types, just because she was so defensive about Caz's failing people comment. And since we're not meeting her until now, I'm guessing she's even more of a loner than Jack. All adds up to something mighty interestin'... :)

    I think Warren hates us. He gives us these gorgeous sketches (both in terms of profiles and pictures) on pages 5 and 6 and then tortures us by only doing 7 of them this week. Anyone have a time machine so I can peek at the rest without having to wait until next Friday?

    The panels without colour were exquisite. And as for Kait? I think I've found my favourite Freakangel.

    Week's been ai'ight... I could do without today though. If anyone finds my crazy pills, give them back cos I need them.

    For me, Freakangels gets better and better as the story and the characters are developed. Thanks for the recap, as I was getting a bit confused with the large cast and this was needed (for my crappy memory).
    My Friday is now complete.

    Just had to say Warren, if you are reading this, your last post on Warrenellis.com about Lili being 13 was absolutely hilarious. ( I notice Kait is called 'creepy' in this weeks installement...) I hope she had a nice birthday. It is not fair that she can legitimately say: Don't fuck with me, Warren Ellis is my dad.

    This week is good. Last day at one of my freelance jobs but I start a six month full time contract on the 3rd of November, which is fucking fantastic news.

    I loved the hard-assed Kait and how she contrasts with the others.

    If Paul is reading, is that a kevlar vest she's wearing?

    Making the portraits look like old, coffee-stained photos was masterful, and reintroducing all the characters at the start of book two is timely.

    Personal: My wife and I are still fostering 8 rescued cats and getting very in-debt doing it (especially in the crappy US economy). Someone in Philly want a wonderful cat? :D
