    Y'mean an RSS feed? Yes. That'll be the RSS feed links on the side bar of the front page, post pages, and search pages.

    If you look about halfway down this page, you'll see feed links for RSS and ATOM -- those'll give you new comments as they appear in this thread. The link on the front page will give you comments as they appear for the whole forum.

    When you run a search (for a keyword or all posts in a category, for instance) you'll see there are RSS/Atom links on the results page of that, too.

    @Ariana

    Yeah, that's it, thanks! Do I need some kind of reader software for the RSS? When I click on the link, I just get a page of html code.

    Yes. Well, you don't necessarily need software -- there are plenty of internet readers (google's got one, for instance) out there as well.

    Ariana,

    Lnks inside hide divs are still visible. I almost got in trouble on the Lost thread for it.

    I don't know it matters to anyone else. If it does, I think you can hide them by putting a new entry in the CSS:

    #Comments #hide .a {
    border: 1px solid #CCC;
    color: #EEE;
    background-color: #EEE;
    }

    Or something like that.

    ... or you could make your link text not spoiler-y...

    Maybe I'm just technologically retarded, but I can't seem to work out how to get YouTube videos to embed in my posts

    EDIT: Never mind. I am retarded.

    @Ariana:

    Is there any way to self-delete an account? Just curious, for future reference.

    When I go rogue.

    Nope.

    This is not exactly a 'How To Use Whitechapel' question. I am having problems finding the Flickr RSS for my Photostream and I am really desperate to show everybody my terrible pics. I just created a Flickr account about half an hour go so that will be my excuse.

    Go to your flickr page -- the one where all your pictures are, not your profile -- and scroll down to the bottom, looking for the little orange RSS icon next to "Subscribe to soandso's photostream".

    I'm trying to hotlink to a video in my photobucket with the file extension .flv

    Should it be working? If so, why isn't it?

    Nope.

    YouTube, Revver, I can't remember if I got around to Vimeo (probably not... I should though), Spike, Brightcove, um Stage6 I think, Google and MySpace.

    So if I upload it to my MySpace account and link it from there it should work?

    In theory, http://vids.myspace.com/ works. I can't recall anyone ever posting one, but there ya go. Probably!

    This is in regards to something Mr Ellis posted on his site about Magcloud. When you click through to Magcloud's page and try to join up to their beta the email address is bouncing back all requests. Not sure if Mr Ellis can pass this on, or would want to. Wasn't sure where else to post this. Sorry if it's in the wrong place but I didn't think it warranted a new thread.

    I figured this would be the closest thing to a help thread. :)
    I'm subscribed to the main RSS feed and I generally find it extremely convenient. Oftentimes though, especially recently, when I try to refresh my client (the Sage FF add-on) it won't return any data claiming instead, "XML Parse Error."
    This happened before, when I was using the FF live-bookmarks feature. I prefer browser-based feed readers but am afraid I might have to switch.
    Any thoughts? Thanks for taking the time.

    Yeah, I'm still ironing out a few kinks in the feed, sometimes it doesn't parse as perfectly valid XML. It's being worked on. For the time being, you can toss the feed through feedburner and it'll strip out anything that's broken.

    Cool. Thanks for the advice. :)
