Attempted to post a request for submissions for a writing challenge this morning, but the post seems to have vanished. Is this a glitch on my end, or did it get stomped out for a rules violation?
Ah, apologies: internet weirdness on my end caused the process to appear to stop in the middle for me, so I started over again. Thanks.
That said, I don't see it in the Printheads or main discussion list. I am checking to make sure I'm not an imbecile for not seeing it, before attempting to post it again (assuming that posting it in the first place is acceptable). The new post concerns "LFS writing challenge #3."
hello is it possible for me to insert the mixcloud player into a post - i was particularly trying to add it to the Wonderful Wooden Reasons thread - i tried each way i could think of and couldn't seem to puzzle it out. the thing i'm trying to insert is here - the 'share' - - option gives both html and url links but i couldn't get it to embed. thanks
No, there's just too much security risk allowing anything to be embedded in public forums (which is why you can't in most comment or forum systems out there). Whitechapel autodetects and allows some things (mp3s, youtube, etc), but there's just no way to allow for everything.
I had a friend apply for membership, but nothing ever came of it. Are there ever rejections or did he perhaps have some sort of fail while submitting the form?
Sorry, Semiote was asking over on the atemporal thread about places to talk about writing... didn't want to clog that thread up. Did I fuck up? If so, really sorry.
[edit] Yeah, re-reading my post here, I phrased that really badly. Removed. I'm an arsehole. Sorry! Won't happen again.
I'm either having a day of complete stupid or just being made of stupid in general...
A friend is running a small con with a focus on local business and comic book artists. I'd like to plug it for him here as I think it will be of interest... What category does that go under?
